Everyday Rewards Targeted Offers

I'm thinking there's a bit of a "gotcha" with this offer - first week spend $80 +change, and get $15 credited to your rewards account, but then the second week, you'll need to spend $95 +change, in order to keep the second week total over $80 and get the second $15 rewards credit. Or have I thought that through wrongly?
My thoughts exactly. I told mum today to make sure she spends $170 + $30 next week to get the extra $30 discount.

Unless the discounts won't be loaded until spending the qualifying amount both weeks.

A CC related offer:
Hi <serfty>,

As a Woolworths Money Qantas Platinum Credit Card holder shop at Woolworths this weekend and get 10% off your first shop.[SUP]1[/SUP]

Just scan the barcode on the back of your Credit Card at the checkout and pay with your Woolworths Money Qantas Platinum Credit Card to get your discount.

This special Woolworths Money offer is only available between Saturday 28 November and Sunday 29 November and:
Valid on your first shop only (ie. the first time you scan the barcode between 28 and 29 November);
Discount applied to a maximum purchase amount of $500;
Available instore only.

I've had a similar offer with a nonQF WW platinum but the offer is still marginal given you'd be losing WISH 5% and Edge MR points. Having said that, wonder what would happen with a split payment:idea:

Well, I'll probably find out tomorrow - on the bottom of my most recent receipt under "You're on your way to bonus $10 Woolworths Dollars" (yes, that's exactly what it says LOL), it says "you have just $11.66 to spend by 1/12/15 to get $10 Woolworths Dollars" - I have to go to the shops for some basics tomorrow and and will be spending around $12-$15 dollars, so will see what it says on the bottom of the receipt after that.

good luck. :)

I've got a similar offer this week, but didn't get that message. I wonder if my offer failed to register properly.

I tried this out. Part paid $10 with WW CC and got 10% off the whole shop (excluding a WISH card purchase). Paid the rest with an eWISH.

I just got a Big W offer which looks targeted but I'm not really sure. I can't get it activated due to technical issues. I think the fact that I have to activate it means it is targeted but the wording is very bad in some places.

The deal is to spend $125 at Big W from now until Sunday in one transaction and receive a $25 gift voucher. The voucher comes in the form of a notation at the bottom of the receipt and has an expiry date of 31 December. The voucher must be used in one transaction only where the total amount of goods is over $25. There are lots of exclusions on the offer. I don't usually spend over $100 at Big W, however I did recently when they had a big sale of Lego. I'm guessing they want me to do this again.

I'm tempted to use the offer but I'm not sure it is worth it. If I use it I will probably use it for Christmas presents but I'm not sure I'll find suitable presents at Big W this year. I'd rather have a Woolworths offer at the moment than a Big W offer.

I ended up using the targeted offer and got my $25 worth of Christmas presents for free. Most of the $150 worth of goods was for presents but a few were stock items I usually buy at Big W. I did two transactions. The first was for $125.75. The receipt had a voucher on it as promised. The second transaction was for $25 exactly and after I scanned my card and the coupon and pay now everything went to zero and I got a receipt.

Big W are looking for feedback and are offering a $100 gift card as a prize. The feedback website is printed on the receipt. I haven't done the survey yet but I probably will. I had problems with the shelf prices being different to the scanned prices, even with checking on the instore scanner, so I'll probably let them know about that. It was busy at Big W but not as bad as some of the Christmas chaos I've seen there.

I scored the $25 Big W credit but was not as organised as rainbowgirl. The receipt is sitting in my wallet-hoping I'll remember to use it and it doesnt degrade

We did ours as two transactions too, to utilise the voucher immediately. A little hiccup when the register wouldnt accept the voucher but easily sorted by the staff. Our new outdoor dining set looks good.

Just to update on this - I needed to spend $11.66 to reach the $70 spend target for Week 1. Spent just over $12 this morning and my receipt now states "Congratulations, $10 bonus Woolworths Dollars have been added to your account" so it appears the bonus credit is added as soon as the spend total is reached and is now ready to be redeemed against my next eligible shop. However ... not sure what happens if I don't use this credit until Week 2 - will that $10 credit come off as a "discount" during the checkout process and therefore I'll have to spend an "extra" $10 to reach the spend total for Week 2 or does the credit just come off as part of the payment process?

My understanding is that the bonus dollars will come off as a DISCOUNT and NOT a payment method. You are right about having to get an extra $10 worth of stuff when trying to qualify for the second week bonus.

Flybuys dollars are much better as they can be used as a payment method and you aren't forced to use multipes of $10.

Yes, those were my thoughts as well, which is bl**dy annoying - the only way to get around it would be to spend over $10 at Woolies by Tuesday night to use up the credit!

I agree, Flybuys dollars are much better AND you can choose when you use them.

I got my first targeted offer from Woolworths rewards today and amazingly enough, it's a decent offer which I should be able to manage.

Spend $40 each week for 2 weeks and get $10 Woolworths dollars each week.

It appears that it has to be done in one transaction however it is badly worded. The timing is also strange. The email was sent today but the offer period started on Monday 30 November. That means week 1 ends on Sunday 6 December and week 2 ends on Sunday 13 December. I should be able to manage $40 in one transaction although the annoying thing is that I spent $14 today on bits and pieces, some of which I could have purchased tomorrow or Friday in the qualifying transaction for the offer. Week 2 will also be tricky as I'll need to get $50 worth of stuff in order for the second part of the offer to work correctly.

I'm glad I got the offer. When I saw the offer on my card I thought it was going to have a really high target due to the $90 target offer I took up a few months ago but I was very surprised to see a reasonable target. I'm spending $100 a week at Coles at the moment taking up two major offers from flybuys but I should still be able to justify a Woolworths spend of $40 given all the upcoming Christmas expenses.

Same offer here. Surprised as my EDR/WR card hasnt been used for ages, except at Big W over the weekend.

Yeah I never got an email about that "chance to win " at all...

...But at a random visit 10 days ago the selfserve notified me that "I had won $10 off my next shop"...

>>>Then low & behold....it deducted $10 off the actual sale I was making ! ! !
Still have the measly $3 'savings' credit on my card I had to begin with.

Unless its half price at woollies I see no further reason to show Loyalty now the QFF points scheme is buried.
They have made a grave mistake in my opinion.
D

I wonder whether the offers with high targets came out last week and the ones with low targets are coming out this week.

Smacks of desperation to me. Orange stickers not working. Random $10 not working. Try big discounts by email
