Everyday Rewards Targeted Offers

And what is this limit on Woolworths dollars earned per week? Hope that is for a specific promotion and not general shopping.

The $10 limit referred to in a previous post is for the "Double Woolworths Dollars" promotion, where if you earn WW$ during the promotional period (can't remember the exact dates, I think it was a 4-week period ending around 13th December?), you will receive double those dollars , but only up to a total of $10. I think the "double dollars" credit is supposed to be put on the account the week after the promotion finishes.

I don't think there's a limit to the amount of WW$ you can earn from general shopping.

Except for the fact that I have earnt QFF pts for every transaction - even since WWD has come out.

That is correct but it won't count as part of a bonus target. If you got an offer earlier this year of spend $40 for 250 bonus QFF points then a $40 OPAL top-up would have earned you 260 (250 + 10) points. Since WW fixed their software to exclude OPAL from counting in the bonus, you would only earn 10 points.

Hi DrA,

Earn 30c Woolworths Dollars for every $1 spent on cheese*.

You'll earn 30c bonus Woolworths Dollars for every $1 you spend on any cheese throughout Woolworths supermarkets until Tuesday 8th December 2015. Simply activate and scan your card when you shop. That means if you spend $10 on cheese, you'll instantly earn $3 Woolworths Dollars.

This offer has been selected just for you.

Really? Is that so? Just for me?

I'm violently allergic to dairy and have never purchased any form of dairy product from Woolworths in my life. And none of my local WW stores even stock soy cheese.

Mum did a shop today of >$200 as our target was $170 to receive another $30 discount. She also bought some extra cheese as we had an offer of 30c Woolworths dollars for every $1 spent on cheese and I think some double Woolworths dollars as well. Our total discounts for today were $38.20 which brings our discount for next shop to >$40.

This is definitely much better than QFF points if the offers continue.

I think that's a big 'if'.

Not that big an 'if'.

Both wife and I received a new offer of $10 off for spend $100 by 08 December. I believe this is not targetted and is open to all. Just need to scan a barcode from the email but is also in catelogue.

These are truly good discounts. The QFF points can go and get stuffed.

Another targeted offer: spend $100 and scan the barcode in the email for $10 reward.

After reading various comments I would suggest the following...

...seems to me to be a selection of smoke & mirrors deals...

Except WW don't do deals on Smokes,...and they rarely sell Mirrors...

Guaranteed they are playing us, the client, and expecting we will overlook the critical details described in a dubious and deliberate language in their T's n C's
...then when queried, they will cry " honest (lol) human error in loading of deal to client base.

In my humble opinion, that's the way I'm perceiving their shadowy "promotions"

I hark to the old adage , Buyer Be Wary !

From the same offer sent to me:

You can share these great deals with family and friends, simply forward this email. If you don't have a printer don't worry - you'll also find the barcode on this week's catalogue.

I got the same offer as Pushka, $30 x 2 weeks for WW$5 per week. I was happy with that, especially as I got to $31.12 by buying sale items at half price :) It was the first time I had scanned the new card.

Did your docket show you earning 1 QFF point?

Yesterday I did a trial FlightCentre cards purchase for $600 Face value of vouchers.

The docket DID NOT show the QFF points although the store manager agreed as it was a 3rd party card I was entitled to them. Some fluffing around and he came back to say that the system had been 'upgraded' for the Pesos and I needed to go online to see the QFF points I had earnt.

Haven't done that yet.

Interested if anyone has seen the QFF points on their dockets recently? Trying to see when (or if) they disappeared Australia wide vs just NSW.

The over $30 transactions I have done make a reference to QFF points but don't have the exact number for each transaction. When the points are transferred to QFF they are listed as one bulk figure.

The WoW on Friday had no reference to QFF points at all.

The WoW today (different) had their dockets stating that "you have earnt at least 1 QFF point for ewvery dollar above $30 spent".

And even better, the store manager was very interested in what I was doing and said "Good on you for doing it. If they don't want people to save money then they should put a limit per person not per transaction. I'm sorry that I have run out of the $150s for you."

That was after I'd purchased 20 of them.

And yes, I could use multiple eCards per transaction of $1,427.50

I got an email offer a few days ago (with the wrong name attached) of spend $70 in one transaction for the next two weeks and earn $15 each shop.
That just isn't going to happen. I have maybe 3 transactions over $50 per year.
I might have a ~$70 spend across the week, but that's split across 8-14 transactions. Most of the transactions are $4.99 or less and I don't bother scanning my card if it is not $5 or more when I can get the staff discount (stupidly, the discount kicks in at $5, but not $4.99 - when you're still spending $5 anyway).

It is not feasible to buy a weeks worth of lunch in one go (and not get to have most of it because anything left in the tea room won't be seen again as other staff think it's theirs), thus a $70 spend in one go in a normal week (ie, when it's not xmas week or not about to go on holiday) just isn't going to happen.

Who ever works out which offers/targets to send out to people needs their head examined.

As for in store vs online...
They send out a list to the stores each week detailing the types of extra offers that are being sent (ie, those offers not advertised in store on tickets). The vast majority of these targeted offers are not valid for online shops, only in store shops.

I received an offer this morning for $10 off at BigW as long as I spend more than $10.

Pity the register link doesn't work!

Our family got 4 of the offer.

The first one activated perfectly but the following three came up as "Oops that didn't work" or words to that effect.

On the positive side turned negative....

As WoW were offering spend over $100 get $10 Pesos off your next shop - the clever crew in spin-central did not increase the number of catalogues printed.

As the email clearly states "Don't worry if you don't have a printer just pick up a catalogue".

Trouble is catalogues ran out on Thursday, Friday and Friday respectively for the 3 WoW stores I went shopping at for some of my Flight Centre $150 gcs.

Today I asked for the store manager as curiously enough the Service manager's folder copy of the catalogue was also missing - so no way to get the $10 offer for any customers who relied on what WoW said in the email.

I suggested he photocopy his catalogue coupon and provide it to the checkouts so if a customer requested a catalogue (as instructed by WoW) then his staff could comply.

His reaction, "I'll have to check with WoW security on MONDAY."

Customer service and WoW Pesos achieve another golden moment!

As the owner of one of the magic catalogues I also bought another 21 of the $150 FC gcs. At first he was reticent and asked whether I had purchased 10 the previous night. Curiously enough I had and pointed out that I was denied the QFF points as the night service mgr had cancelled the transaction but forgot to scan my EDR card he was holding.

After a little discussion about the 4th from back page of the catalogue "Max 10 cards per TRANSACTION" he agreed to process as many as I wanted (and that I happened to have a pile of as the store had none).

So near $10k of WoW spending and .........
$10 Wow pesos possibly. $10 Pesos did not come off subsequent transaction, nor the one after that, nor the one after that.

Post Dec 31 is going to make these 10% off offers far less points worthy!
