Fewer Suites, but larger and plusher coming....

Well I think we can kiss goodbye to (relatively easy to get) F awards though!

Still decent availability just not on the flights already officially and unofficially confirmed with new suites.
No doubt SQ will remove more saver awards once they upgrade to new product. All we can do is book other A380 routes as far away as possible and hope to score the new “apartments”.

I’m a bit disappointed to see the J seat map. Looks like no revolutionary product introduced in that cabin, hope I’m wrong tho.

Swivel seats? I'm guessing that they lock in position for take-off & landing?

The densification of J 68-78 seats in the same place and the reverse in F 12-6

Means there is now a massive difference between J and F.
Floor space wise it's now probably 3x - which I expect means a big increase down the line for both F fares and awards.

Now theres more reason to buy a First seat. Kudos to SIA.

Currently the First and Business product are too similar, and certainly don't warrent a few extra thousand on top of Business, and explains why there is less demand for the former. This new seating arrangement should help increase First demand (if price remains the same).

Unfortunately it looks like the Hotels have come at a cost to Business space, but perhaps they have reduced the number of seats in Econn

I am underwhelmed by the Singapore suites in comparison to Etihad First Apartment. Seems so much space is wasted and they lack any character unlike Singapore current Suite product. Does that chair recline out? I'll await final judgement on release. Looking forward to see what Emirates now has up their sleeve.

I'll hold my judgement until I see the official unveiling on Thursday.
It may be that the pictures released, are only a teaser, and not the complete final product.

According to the seat plan it does recline out. 3A shows the seat reclined.

1A shows the seat in normal forward position and extra leg room away from the bed which is folded away
2A shows the seat in forward position with the leg room towards the bed which is folded away and the divider between 1A and 2A up
3A shows the seat reclined in diagonal position
1F shows seat in forward position, extra leg room with bed out
2F shows the seat facing the bed which is out and the divider between 1F and 2F down
3F seems to show the same as 2A

I don’t even mind if the price goes up a bit - it looks worth it to me....

I agree...

I love Singapore but they seem to have a fixation on big seats, whereas other things can make the experience better. The same goes for the Private Room.

I agree. A proper seat and a proper bed. No compromises with either.

From the photo of the bed looks narrow, but hopefully that is just the way the picture was taken, or maybe it is the same width as Etihad's in their Apartment. The Captain Kirk style seat looks strange. Guess we'll find out in a few hours.
