Fewer Suites, but larger and plusher coming....

It looks great to me but given the better half and I have very different IFE tastes - I don't think the double bed version will ever come about.

Ours just changed too, but I dont know which is the double suite. Edit: Called the KF line and the changed our seats. YES!!!!! Come on July!!!!

I like the look of both, but particularly the look of the new J. Double bed (and closer seats) in the middle pair will make flying with +1 a 'not so distant' feeling like is on the current a380/777.

That said, got I want that double bed in F. I really, really hope by some magical way they end up on MEL-SIN-NRT come April. It would be an awesome(r) way to kick off our honeymoon rather than the 4 seat F cabin ;)

April

1A/2A and 1F/2F both can be turned into a double
1F has the bassinet so was blocked on my map

Yes! Yes! Yes!

Cannot wait for August to roll around!

Seatmap for SQ231 has updated. I wonder if SQ25 will be upgraded as well over the coming months?

Really want the double bed!

Mrs NoName will be happy with the double bed for her and NoName Jnr in J on the same flight. I won't feel so bad about leaving them there now! :D

Both look seriously impressive! Although not sure about the double bed idea in J. Your partner moves around pulls the blanket off you kind thing. In reality, seems a bit silly.

I read somewhere that in F they will no longer be serving Krug MV though....upgrading it to vintage Krug!

My wife's immediate reply on the J class double bed and some spooning action was, "forget it buddy, that divider is staying in place".

This is the seat map before I swapped my SO from 3A to 1A. I may have to swap with her when we get onboard. Hopefully we get to sample the new product - we have it on both SYD-SIN and SIN-SYD. Attaching the seat map.

Just checked our Suites booking on SQ221 in January.

The seat map has changed, but the seat allocation has simply gone by the seats that are still there. retain there seat number and anything that has disappeared allocated what is left.

In our case we had 2D/3D the front pair. 1A and 2A and 1K were also showing as taken.

We have been allocated 3A and 3F, which couldn't be further apart.

I have been on the phone to SQ for 20 minutes but have only been told that a seat change request will be put through.

Not Happy.

Not sure how much of a double bed it is in J with the footbeds at such an angle, and/or how those front seats get so wide.

The 'Paywave' terminals in Y/PE (and I think unmarked in F) are interesting. Is that to pay for extras? or possibly scan your FF card to login to the 'smart' IFE

My seats on 221 were changed automatically from the 3C and 3D, to 1A and 1F.
But I've since changed it to 1A and 2A so we can join the two suites together.

That open double bed in Business class is poorly thought out. No privacy with everyone watching the 2 people sleep together. Yikes. Qatar design at least affords you some privacy.

The Double bed option in the Suites looks good though.
True. Although I think making a J redemption on the new fit out is more enticing now than previously. I'd be happy to settle with J now that new suites redemptions are looking difficult.

Any thoughts on best seat selection in F for a single PAX looking to maximise chance of getting a double bed?

Perhaps 2F since 1F with the bassinet is likely to be last allocated unless there is an infant travelling?

Can't see how you'd go wrong with 2F for the same reasoning.

The problem is that the footwells are on the aisle side of each bed so spooning would involve some serious contortionist work.
