PLEASE INCLUDE DATE, FLIGHT NUMBER, ORIGIN & DESTINATION IN ALL REQUESTS
>>>> ADDED BY ADMIN (6 Sept 2010) <<<<

Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions about seat availability on specific flights. These are all valid questions and we all appreciate the efforts our members go to to provide answers.

The only drawback is that our forums can become "cluttered" with specific questions about availability on specific flights. This tends to reduce the overall usability of our site.
We have therefore created this new consolidated thread where you can ask questions about seat availability on specific flights. Hopefully, this will reduce clutter and improve useability.

Guidelines for posting in this thread
Please post questions about availability of specific flights or upgrade probability in this new consolidated thread. Be sure to include the airline, flight number, date, origin and destination and any other relevant detail.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

Thanks!

See this thread for hints on how to read loadings:

If looking for, say Qantas points upgrades, look for A class for First, mid to high D or any I class for Business and any R for Premium Economy.

Look for the most expensive category of the cabin YOU are currently booked in as being sold out e.g. J0 to first, W0 to Business & Y0 to PE for increased op-up chances. Also, look for availability on the discount premium buckets (A, P, I, D, U, T & Z inventories).

Conversely, look for high numbers in the discount economy buckets (N, O, Q, E & X inventories) for reduced op-up chances.

Seat maps can be a VERY rough guide but note that just because a seat is not showing as allocated does not mean that seat hasn't been sold. Not everyone pre-selects seats.

Original thread title: update on QF93 on 12 sept

Appreciate it if someone could check EP for loadings.

Just curious. Had a look on Qantas for one way paid flights from Athens to Melbourne on a random date for 2017. One person in economy. Told me that the only way to book is on a classic award. Went to Webjet and on the same day for the same search there are plenty of good paid options including Qatar, Emirates and even Qantas albeit very expensive in economy with one stopover in Dubai. Also checked several other dates, same result.

The origin of Athens is the issue, QF must not be able to sell the codeshares there. Probably only in Australia. No problem buying a return MEL-ATH ticket either via DXB with EK or LHR with BA codeshares.
Web agents don't have the same limitation because they don't necessarily buy the ticket from the country in which the flight originates.

Hi, could someone help with the loading info of QF130 from Shanghai to Sydney on 18 July please. I am hoping for a classic upgrade from Flex to J. thanks.

Thanks Kermatu. that is super quick. Much appreciated. Does this mean there are currently 6 empty J seats?

I just happened to be logged on to EF to check some of my own flights!

It means QF are willing to sell 6 J seats, yes. The seatmap shows a large number of J seats not yet selected. My take given this, that it is fairly close to departure and the fact that Y is full -- there will be a few points upgrades and maybe op-ups on this flight. What is your status with QF?

Is anyone able to check a few flights for me please?
D7 207 - 15/7/16
AK 828 - 16/7/16
AK 821 - 24/7/16
D7 206 - 24/7/16

Thanks!

Just had a look... unfortunately Air Asia doesn't seem to publish this information on Expert Flyer.

Perhaps you could try searching for the flights on the Air Asia website and seeing how many seats the airline is willing to sell/how expensive they are?

Ok thanks for looking.
Just says '1 seat left' but then some have '20% off' So i dont think its going to be completely full
That means 1 seat left at that price. Perhaps try putting in the maximum number of pax it allows (usually 9), and see what results come back. It's not too difficult for LCC, I guess, if the 9 tickets are cheap, it usually means there are plenty of seats. If it's close to full, the 9 tickets would be very expensive or unavailable.

AirAsia does not upload loadings onto Expertflyer
Also it does not make any difference anyway as AK828/821 flights are A320 single class flights only - so no upgrade option on these flights.

D7 only does upgrades for: counter upgrade for MYR$900, Air asia - citibank platinum one upgrade per year, subscription to upgrade travel option.
Very limited opportunities for the 12 premium seats on the D7 A330.
