Flybuys Targeted Bonus Promotions

Received another 2,000 Flybuys points offer for $40 spend until tomorrow which has been activated and used already.

Yes, 10.000 points converted to flybuys dollars is much more useful than a one off $50 discount.

You could use it to cover your entire $40 transaction. You can use whatever amount you need, you don't need to use it in multiples of 10 like Woolworths Rewards.

You can also use the transaction total towards you next targeted offer. Let's say your next target is $50. You could get to that amount for the transaction, use the payment method flybuys dollars to pay and then you've qualified for your next reward without spending additional cash. If you use the discount, only the total after the discount counts towards your targeted offer.

Hi Rainbowgirl,

So I think what you're saying is use is that for the next targeted offer, do not use the discount as if I spend $51 dollars and using the $50 discount, I'll only have $1 counted and have to go back for $49 later (if it is an accumulated $50 or another $50 spend if not) as I don't think the $50 discount uses the payment method of flybuys (correct me if I'm wrong).

Also your earlier point re: the discount and spending it on a $40 transaction, what happens to the other $10 - credit for another transaction? I thought it said $50 off your next spend when you spend $50 or more (don't have the receipt anymore but pretty sure that's what it said).

Cheers

If you decide to choose points then redeem $50 flybuys dollars you can use $40 flybuys dollars for the $40 transaction which gives you $10 flybuys dollars to use later. I hope that clears it up.

Thanks Rainbowgirl, yes that clarifies things but as mentioned I don't have Flybuy dollars to do that, I have a $50 discount which is not listed anywhere in Flybuys dollars listing on the website.

Thanks for letting know. The rest is just advice for next time. Good luck getting offers.

Our family (of 7) has a frightening supermarket spend and there is rarely a target we can't hit....but
1000 points for $220 spend is bordering on the insulting

(admittedly we have done well over the past month)

My husband and my cards are linked but only I got the 15% bonus points to transfer to Velocity, he didnt.

Only the primary Flybuys cardholder can transfer.
Nothing to stop you opening up a separate account for Mr D-and there are good reasons to do so

Received an offer for 500 points when I spend $1 @ Liquorland. I don't buy from LL, or even that much alcohol regardless. All I seem to get bombarded with is these offers to buy alcohol.

If that Flybuys rep is reading this, how do I get these alcohol bonus points offers to stop???

In the emails you receive, scroll down and you'll see an "Email preferences" link. Click through and you can uncheck a box to say you don't want to receive alcohol emails.

Does the offer specifically say alcohol or just a $1 spend? I would buy a coke or ice for the points.

If $1 spend is the requirement look for something that is exactly $1 or just over and less than $2.50. This way you'll make money on the deal.

We're sorry we've annoyed you with these offers. As AisleSeat has helpfully pointed out, you can adjust your preferences via the "Email preferences" link at the bottom of any flybuys email.

Honeymoon over.

Earn 1,000 bonus points for $70 spend. It's not going to happen. I struggled to spend $40.

Sounds like it is time for EACH member of the family to get one of those temporary new cards at the checkouts and farm the weekly email orders accordingly. $220 split 3 or 4 or 5 ways is quite fruitful!
