Flybuys Targeted Bonus Promotions

It looks like the trigger point for the 15,000 points reward is a $100 spend per week for selected members. This is around a 19% return across the 4 weeks.

The 10,000 points offer for $50 week is a 25% return across the 4 weeks, plus whatever other points earned on docket deals and coupons during that time.

The lower targets do seem to still attract the highest percentage reward, but the higher target rewards are not as bad as they used to be. Someone on the $90 target might get annoyed however. Their return is about 14% which is less than the return for the person who has to spend $100 per week as mentioned above.
Consider me annoyed!

:)

We had 15k for $250x4 on active account and 10k for $60x4 on a dormant one. Should be able to do both

Glad we got some reasonable offers as was feeling left out the last couple of months

I got the $250 one. Am not going to activate it.

We had a 4 x $230 in the lead up to Easter, made 3 weeks, but not the fourth. $250 is too much for our regular shops.

This either means that there are no late week large value email offers or flybuys are going to start another of their 4 week promotions with the first week being 10 days running from Friday April 8 to Sunday 17 April. If they do this it will be similar to the last 4 week promotion which had 10 days for it's first week and made everything rather confusing.

This is just my speculation based on the patterns that flybuys have previously used for their offers. I have no idea how good I am at predicting things.

Pretty good it seems. We got $140 for 4 weeks for 15,000 points, not going to take it up. Our FB earn has dropped a lot recently, we didn't get a coupon book this time and I've not bothered keeping track of the docket vouchers as much.

Received a 4x$50 for $50/10k deal.

As this is my first real Flybuys offer, can you stack the $50 qualification spend with a double/triple point docket deal to earn 100pts/150pts on the qualification spend?

You can stack the 4 week offer transactions with as many other offers as you like provided the dates and the targets match up. I usually stack docket deals and coupons on the same transaction. You've got the same basic offer as me which is a 25% return on each transaction (but paid all at the end). If you add in coupons and docket deals the return ends up over 30% depending on what the value of the other offers are.

Thanks RG. I assume they do not hand out too many spend $50, earn 1000pts docket deals during this time, as that would not be a bad return on investment (spend $200, earn $70 if you could do it all four weeks which I know would be very unlikely).

Coles need to beat the 25.4% return from my last WWR promotion and I will be very happy.

It's usually a 1000 point docket deal every two weeks when things are working well. flybuys have spread out their 1000 point offers a bit more this year so there is no guarantee it will be every 2 weeks during the 4 week promotion. You might be lucky to get a target of $50 for the 1000 point docket deal but it is also possible that the docket deal target might be increased to $60 or more. The docket deal targets fluctuate quicker than the 4 week promotion targets.

Currently doing 1st week of a 4 x $70 for 10K, the last week I will be in the UK, so I will leave the card with my mother, who will spend the $70 on the MIX clothing range and a loaf of bread :-)

Is there a particular day to shop to generate a 1000/500 point docket deal? I notice that I rarely get any docket offers on a weekend for example.

I find that the new docket deal offers are generated on a Wednesday morning. There was one week recently where they didn't generate until Thursday due to a technical glitch. If you are eligible for one then they will still print out later in the week, given that they usually have 10-13 days when they can be used.

Shop your way to 15,000 BONUS POINTS. When you Spend $140 or more in one transaction at Coles, each week for 4 weeks.

Just checked my account and saw this. I may or may not have rec'd an email about it. I would've seen the spend requirement and forgotten it. I'd be flat out spending that amount in 6-8 weeks never mind every week x 4.

Mine was 4 x $100. I didn't plan my list too well and ended up hitting $150. I expect if I get through the 4 weeks my next one will be quite a bit higher.

My offer was $110 spend for 15000 or $75 off. Bit too high as well wont be here for 4th week, so wont activate. Still have 3 weeks left for Mrs Bodie woolworths spend.

Taking up a $10 off gc offer at Coles really wrecks your offer profile for a while even if they were only $100 gcs.

Offers have all become spend $165 or more to...

Interesting as was only spending the $104.95 with free $10 CMgrp gc.

Even so, it looks as if the algorithm has lumped all sales within a certain timeframe into one purchase.

More and more revealed about the algorithm...

Now things have gone from worse to impossible!

No more GC purchases (just so many flights one can take) yet this is the latest offer:

SAVE $75 OFF YOUR SHOP!
Spend $280 or more in one transaction each week for 4 weeks and choose...

So despite no further big spends - Fly Buys has added another $115 per transaction required spending.

Two guesses...

I just got another "spend $X each week for 4 weeks and earn $50 or 10,000 Flybuys points" offer. I just finished a "spend $50/week" promo a few weeks ago and haven't scanned my flybuys card since. The target has increased, but only to $60/week.

I spent $90 tonight but only because I got a $90/1,000 docket this morning (thanks rainbowgirl). But I have still completed week one of the $90x4, so will see what weeks 2-4 bring.

I did my tiny top-up shop today and got a 1000 points for $50 docket deal which will go nicely with my week 1 shop of $50 on Friday. The targets seem to be balancing out well so far. If they run a 1000 point docket deal in week 3 of the promotion I'm expecting the target to go up to $60. If I get lucky it might still stay down to $50.

Some ex Bilo's have alcohol aisles. There is one in Braybrook. Can be useful if you can get something on special.
