I'm not a user of Fakebook, but hoping those who are hammer her to the point she has to abandon all her accounts on all social media (after the police fine her and every person in the car for being in the wrong place and every one of them fined for not having a mask.)

She did it deliberately for attention - give her the attention she desired, maybe with not the outcome she expected.

Last I heard my son in SFO expected to be working from home indefinitely, he is busy as tho…...
Imo , living with Covid in the US is not much of a life but he has no regrets about staying.. or so he says...
He was planning/expecting to move up the corporate ladder a bit more and return to Europe .. not sure how that will pan out now...

Sounds like my son - he wanted one more promotion then was planning to transfer to Europe and travel.....

it’s not too bad for him, as he lives with a partner and they both work for Google and work keeps them busy. He does worry about some of his team who are living on their own.....

I have seen 3 cases of NMDA encephalitis in my last 3 stints in Tasmania so both before and post Covid.

Much of what is happening in Australia right now (eg SA residents are refused return to home if travelled from Victoria) represents everything we never wanted to see in a democratic society so Victoria just has to deal with it especially after today results.

I am not sure what you are talking about in Victoria. I was referring to POTUS in the USA with armed federal officers from various organisations being deployed against the will of the State Governor.

This quite different from past situations where a State Governor had requested assistance.

Does Trump have the right to send in federal forces?

In the last week on morning walks I have seen maybe a total 40-50 ADF personnel tagging along in small groups with police officers around the city and parks.

The ADF personnel are not, to the naked eye, carrying anything. No guns no batons no walkie talkies. Zero.

Having worked with ADF personnel (as a civilian) I can assure you they do fuss at times.

My nephew (Air Force Engineer) has just been advised that in 2 weeks he will be sent to somewhere in Australia for active Covid duties for 3 months. His mum is an active Registered Nurse doing Covid testing at a large Public Hospital clinic. He will know everything he needs to know but hasnt been professionally trained (yet) in infection control. He developed swine flu when that was rampant. He also doesnt develop antibodies to flu shots. Then he will be back to base for 2 weeks isolation which means he wont be back for Christmas. We just cancelled the family Christmas get together because pretty much every family member has been directly impacted by family separation caused by covid.

Though POTUS has the authority to send personnel to defend Federal property if in his opinion it is not being defended adequately.Seeing the Federal court in Portland Oregon is under attack every night with attempts to set it alight that condition has been met.
