The Entertainment Book savings are great and include discounts on some gify cards.

More here:
The Entertainment Book savings are great - 5% off Wish EGift cards, DJs, 5% off Virgin flights, plus hundreds of restaurants and other activities like Opera and Theatres - there is one for every region of Oz/NZ and Bali. I have managed to save over $2000 this year and I have a couple of Books for different regions. If anyone would like to buy an Entertainment Book, it would be appreciated if you would support this charity by buying through their link - helping families in need and at times of financial and other challenge - Support Medical Benevolent Association of NSW - - Order your 2018 | 2019 Entertainment™ Book now!. The charity is supported and we get the savings!

anyone know where I can buy a visa or mc prepaid to pay ato higher than $100? I heard target sell $250 visa cards but is it treated as a supermarket by amex plat edge card and you get 3 points per $1 or is it just 1 point?

Officeworks sell greater than $100 and Harvey Norman has done in the past as well.

I cannot, though, confirm if they can be used for ATO.

I have seen the $250 visa cards sold at target but generally only a few are on display compared to 10x of the $50 type

So Max 10 cards for getting 3ppd with no fee
VS a only 1 via wish gift card for 3ppd for 65c

A better offer by a small amount

Easier to spend in ACT online stores though

got the CMGC offer for all 3 accounts !
Received on one of my accounts. Can't see any reason to take it up though. Even though normally limited to 1 card, better off waiting for the semi regular 2000 point offers for the same cards.

1000 points so break even on the cost?

Correct. Hence there's no real reason to take up the offer.

Any pointers or pattern on how to get targeted for this CGMC offer in the future based on past spend/activity?

Sorry-seemingly random based on the 3 of 6 accounts in our family who got it. One big user, 1 medium low, 1 low

You do marginally better than break even, given you usually earn an additional 105 Flybuys.
If you have a Local Champion Edge 4 points/$ is not to be sniffed at either

Data point for using cards purchased in supermarket deals for NSW car.

CTP - couldn't split payments with many I checked.

Rego - no splitting online or on phone.
Went to Service NSW. They allowed 3 cards only. I used 3 x $100 Perfect eftpos cards from recent offer. Paid last $10 in cash.

Comprehensive insurance.
Phoned AAMI and spoke to a person.
She said they couldn't split payment. I advised I had done this previously and asked nicely for a supervisor.
She spoke to a supervisor and then agreed to process manually.
All paid with several Only 1 Visa cards purchased in recent deals.

Hope this info helps someone.
