ouch! That's not good of woolies staff. Kinda like the milk powder fiasco I guess.

yeah first 2 stores didn't bat an eye...I work in retail and know pretty much how it works - was just a power tripper.. she made up the figure 5 on the spot..I guess she wanted to make sure there was enough to sell to other people which is fair enough.

I couldn't be bother arguing cause I hit up my regular joint for my MR hit afterwards

Because 5 is the max per transaction for gift card, well $500.

I Managed to buy 9 on one docket at the first store, and 8 at another store.

Should would not let me buy any more after - she came to the counter and took them away

Oh I see... I was at mine and I had a whole stack 30, and the girl was like WHOA... (I was self serving) I heard the manager go to her .. " I'll talk to you later about that ".

Obviously to educate her on what people do.

I did it in 5 lots. :)

What reason did they give for not selling you any more? Did you say this isnt baby power forumla

I'm sitting outside a store in WA watching the gift card stand. I'm waiting for my gift card to process (ordered 12noon WST yesterday) before I pounce. Back up plan if it doesn't post in the next half an hour is to meet my minimum spend on my new ANZ Black instead.

Through? Cashrewards?

I just ordered again at 9am, and I got mine like 2hrs later.

Anyone know if you can get STA Travel gift cards at WW or Coles or if there is such a thing? I know you can get gift vouchers direct from STA.

Yes, payment came out of my credit card immediately but still no gift cards. It shows the status on the website as "payment pending". Very frustrating.

That sucks. First time buying? Ive bought previously so it was instant. Perhaps the woolies money team are/need to approve it.

*shakes head

Reminds me of the whole westfield and harvey normans debarco. some people are just dumb and dont want people to save money.

Sorry, seem to have woken up grumpy today-wouldn't want to put off people asking the odd question or two

Anyway, just went to Warringah Mall-there are about 24 out at a time but there seems to be someone regularly reloading the display.
Self-checkout experience all fine, even picked up a couple of activation slips for me

Just took a call from the Woolworths WISH team wanting to verify that the transaction was authentic as I purchased a much higher value than last time. Apparently it will be processed within the hour. I guess I appreciate the checking but seriously, hurry up!!

ive been buying for about 3 years now, ranging from $50 to $5000

ive found the cheaper ones are quicker,

but still2 =3 hours minimum

on average 2-3 for cheaper ones, $5-12 for larger ones

Time to go hunting around my local area...

I've just had a thought...jeez i'm slow
I didn't use my cash rewards gift cards to buy them as I knew it would take too long to come through, and I was scared it would sell out and I was happy breaking even

But say you could buy the usual $100 giftcards for $105.95 with the e giftcards @ 5%
Meaning you pay $105.95 @ 95% discount = 100.65 cents

So you are paying 65 cents for 301 MR points or 0.22 cents per point...which is pretty damn good...

Is my math wrong? and is everybody already doing this? and I am late to the party
