Team starworld appears to have a couple of members needing to catch up on some step entry. Currently we're in the Czech Republic.

Team One Alliance is setting the AFF pace in Hungary, 5 locations ahead and ranked about 2500th in the global leaderboard. Well done:!:

I discovered my sister is doing this at her work in Melbourne
Teams at her establishment seem to be taking it very seriously
Wearing both pedometers and taking the higher count!

Registering marathon runners etc

I thought about getting a BDM involved in this, as he is a keen rider. First weekend of the GC he rode from Brisbane to Crowns Nest and back, over 200 kms in 9 hours. That would have helped our count :D

I'm having no trouble putting in my previous nights' total ~ 6.30am every morning before going out on my morning walk. Been a little lower this week, after returning from holidays where it was higher.

anat0l, has everyone on our team (otther than Flashware) entered their numbers?

As of the time of this post which is before a new day when we will all have another entry to fill out, two people in our team have a couple of handfuls of steps they need to enter, and one of them is not who thou speaketh of.

I've finally updated our team profile with a logo made by jdevereux3 - thanks again!

I'm hoping over the next few weeks my step account will improve further, and will be sustained as I start riding into work again and ramp up my gym & hockey training programs

Great to hear Flashware. I've had an excellent day but haven't been able to get to bed yet courtesy of mini #2 teething, so I have been wandering around the house until about 5 mins ago...so time to log them and get some zzzz's

i hadn't realised how addictive this would be

I actually had to walk on teh treadmill watching the footy so i could keep my numbers up!

What sort of averages does everyone have :?:

For the last three days mine has been around 19,000 with an overall average of 13,750.

My averages have been about 9,000 but the last 3 days have been a bit higher.

29000
28000
13000

Walking around NYC becase I have been too cheap to catch the subway helps.

I wish this was running when I was in Europe last year! Quite often hit 30,000 steps a day.

My average is 12,350 (up to yesterday); my PB is 20,602 and lowest 7,721 (yesterday - family lunch :o). It always helps to start off the day with 6 to 8K due to walking dogs, then it slows down.

I find looking at the Totals page is enlightening - tracking against my team, my organisation (AFF), Ausralia and then Global.

Interesting to note that a lot of the leading teams looks like they are from the manufacturing/production industry, so understandably high step count (28K leading). Puts us to shame...but the problem with a white collar, sometimes sedentary role.

I was well over 13K average, but 3½ of intensive flying has reduced that significantly. :(

Been averaging out at around 25,000 a day over the weekend (inc. friday and monday). Did lots of walking around in MEL over the weekend, took the walking option instead of the lazy tram catching one:mrgreen:

Josh:p

I'm currently sitting on approx 18,000 got today so I may just have to go for another walk shortly.

I've found that the Strand in Townsville is a great place to get a quick 8,000 or so steps.

Its a pity that the 6 flights of stairs to admin doesnt count for more as i do it about 6 times a day !

at least the downhill section counts as well!

my step average is decreasing

It started about 16000 now down to 13500 with a peak of 24000

I must get out of my office more often!

BTW a lap of sydney T2 is 1480 !

off for another lap as i am somewhat bored having miscalculated exactly how little time my meeting would take and not getting here in time to get on teh earlier plane

Get with it!

Go for a walk to T3 ... and head from gate 1 through to gate 16 via gate 12 ... then back again to T2 :p

My step average has decreased in the past week, as my driving distance has gone in the other direction.

Now the crazy season is over, I should get more walking done.

I'm going ok. I need to walk a bit more each day though!! On the positive side I have lost 6kg and 2 belt notches since beginning the challenge!! Kinda happy with that.

Well done:!: That's excellent bossreggie.

I sorely need to lose weight. My walking average is above the 'standard objective', although emphasis is on the word average, where consistency would be much wiser.
