Hear hear! I've got my pedometer from last year out and have been gauging my daily steps.. needless to say given my much more active Londoner lifestyle we're in for some good totals

As a queenslander I do believe I will not be rechristened in that manner at all. But still happy to spend 4 days a week showing NSW how to do things properly, as long as they keep paying.

Just over a week to go!

As I sweat as the team manager on the other side of the world away from the scene of activity, there is just over a week to go before the start of the competition.

I hope that the GCC HQ has sent out packs by now or they are consigned and on their way. Dispatchers - I'm counting on you to get packs to people as soon as you possibly can.

You should all be able to log into the GCC website by now. When you log in, you can now access the Step Entry function (although of course this will not work properly until the GCC starts). Let me know if you can't log in (i.e. I'll probably need to re-send the initial email to you.)

The starting line for this year's GCC is Milford Sound in New Zealand.

The joys of going on holidays... same thing happens to me, yet I'm taking holidays every ~2 weeks or so at the moment, and it happens every time... pah!!

The GCC starts tomorrow!

Just got back from overseas - I've seen from the emails that packs have been hither and thither (with one finally chased up - thanks steptoe!)

I'm hoping everyone now has a starter pack, although for a lot of Sydneysiders your pack may only come at best tomorrow. If you don't have a pedometer (e.g. from last year, or from an already existing habit), I'm not sure what to do if your pack doesn't arrive in time......... suggestions anyone? (Take the AFF overall daily average and enter that as the day's step count?)

Josh, it is a plot by non-Kangaroo Walkers (I need to not have a drink before I type that word) to disadvantage us. :mrgreen: Don't succumb. Last year's pedometer will work fine until this year's ones arrives. The KWs will prevail.
