beware creation amount of liberal interpretation of todays results following!

Did 18k steps today, but with only 1 hr sleep last night and a very long day, the last few hours on my feet have felt like a death march.

Have only been using the App, so need to get into the full site to see numbers, averages etc. My weekend was a little disappointing and I know I am under my 12K desired average.

I question the accuracy of these pedometers. But, nevertheless, I will record what it says :p.

Was in Longreach this past weekend and walked to and from the airport and town a few times, eventually finding a guide that suggested each trip was around 3000 steps. Had I been involved I would’ve clocked up a lot that weekend, before doing almost nothing this week ;)

Lucky you have two then...

On my morning walk, watching the counter click along - I check it from time to time, to make sure it's working.

Well I blew my PB out the window, along with some cobwebs and fat stores today - made my target of 14K with 3 mins to spare. Posted and time for a sleep now

Looking at my stats for the first week, I am (nicely) surprised with my team-mates, they have been leaving me for dead - I've only beaten my team average 2 days out of 7. Wow, time to turn up the walking - but I'd rather start our lower and climb the ranks thatn start out high and finish low. Trying to work out more ways to walk during the day is good - my best is to walk to Brisbane CBD for meetings rather than catching the bus or taxi. Problem is that June is my busiest month and I need more time back at work...

Now to investigate whether everyone has been putting in their steps - putting it in daily (unless travelling) makes it a (good) habit. I generally try to log them before I go to sleep (generally around midnight) or the first thing I do when I walk out the door to walk the dogs.

I've been putting in a fairly good effort this week due to a lengthening of my usual walks to and from work, which means cutting off between 30-60 minutes from my work day on either side.

Today will be a challenge since I had to drive this morning to pick Mum up from work (I drive there, then she takes the car and I proceed to work), which cut out my usual long walk this morning, so I'm at midday and even though I've done quite a bit of running around this morning, I'm still well behind the eight ball.

Then there's the weekend.... where I barely scraped in last week. Not good - needs to change :(

Whereas yesterday (Sat) was a personal worst for me - constant and at some times heavy rain made it an inside day with the kids.

Not looking much better today...but a walk around the new WOW at Everton Park after a swimming make up class for my daughter, is on the cards.

I didn't have enough at 6pm yesterday for similar reasons, so I headed out for a walk around the block and more to make it up to minimum. Had a raincoat and umbrella in case; luckily it didn't pour.

Very different weather to where we have stepped in GCC world - England, and now Portugal.

We are having our first decent day in weeks. Not only decent, but brilliant. It's coinciding with the Cairns triathalon. As so many streets are blocked for the racing, including the Captain Cook Highway to Port Douglas, there is no excuse not to walk. Had a long one this morning and will go out later again to watch the finish of the race.

And we are having our first rainy day for ages - I'll have to duck out between falls;)
This is getting a little addictive.
