Global Corporate Challenge 2012

I used an old Qantas plane cruising above the clouds as our team photo - seemed to go very well with our name.

Had a poor day yesterday (only 11k) but expect today to be a challenge as not walking the dogs this morning. Should make up for it on Wed with my walking around Adelaide between appts.

Does anyone else's computer freeze when they open the GCC website?
It's so frustrating as I have to go away and do something else or twiddle my thumbs:shock:

The Platinum Oners have a team photo now!

EXCELLENT!
I love it.

I'm using Firefox without any difficulties. David is using IE and no difficulties either. I think the website is a big improvement on last year. Fifa, does it continue to freeze the computer or only on opening the website? I'd whirl them an email and ask if they have any suggestions.

It only freezes when I open the website when I first boot it up each day. I use Google Chrome but last night one of my sons said I should be using Firefox but I cannot remember why.

I'm using IE and haven't had any problems. The website is a big improvement from last year. My minor frustration is that the notifications still show even after I have actioned them.

zig, I am having a similar problem (the week 2 coach video, which I have watched but the notification hasn't disappeared) - suppose I'll have to play it again....

Not happy about the previous two days: I only knocked up ~9k and ~7k steps because my days were so busy I essentially was stuck in a room the whole day, only pausing for stand-and-quick-stretch (1 minute each), warming up lunch and toilet. 8am - 7pm both days.

I'd normally spend time after work doing a lot of walking, except that'd equate to my coming home at about 9.30pm or 10.30pm.

Hopefully today that trend shall not continue....... but I certainly still have much work to do by the "end of the day".

That given me a chance to catch up then, as my average is below my team average - sorry team.

Coach week 3 video has spurred me into more action, as my weekly steps dropped 11%. Last night posted my steps at 12.05am, which has become a standard for me to maximize my steps. Cleaning up at home has been item by item :D

QUlaity control check

pedometer right hip vs left hip 10 % favourable right hip

2 on right hip about 2 % difference

I don't have any issues with the website which is way improved over last year
I usually use my phone to enter data anyway

MAjor issue with the platinum ones
WHat is it with you people that i can be an average of 15k and only 1k over the team average!
How did i get in with the fit people???????

btw a walk around bunnings helps numbers!

My recommendation to get your numbers up is...retire. Then you'll have lots of time for walking. I'm thinking you might not find that suggestion too helpful?

Hmm
i could retire now but then Mrs C wouldn't be able to live in the style to which she has become accustomed!

HAve found the exercise bike on the road to nowhere to be a great way to watch the football!

Do what I did last weekend. Walked around Uluru one day, and around Kata Tjuta the next!

Me fit? Surely you jest!

My average is hovering around 14k. Did everyone put their best foot forward all of the sudden? 'Cos I used to be about 1k (under that) over the team average.

IIRC one team last year was running high with some crazy average. All thanks to a nimble, Tasmanian whipper-snapper :p

I ressemble that comment. A certain aged, orthopaedically challenged northerner actually beat the Tasmanian upstart. Not that it was a competition of course. I tried to cajole the Mexican back but was unsuccessful. You work on him for next year. The youth of today have no stickability!

currently raining here in wagga
seems to be raining in sydney as well as i pedal my way to nowhere
go the giants!

i now have 3 teams it seems
dees!
giants
whoever is playing collingwood!

Did the lawn this afternoon, didn't realise how many steps the front and back yards took.

Definitely anybody that plays the Pies :D

Well given there's a mini-challenge this week worth a trophy, I dragged myself and hiked - twice - to beat my PB. It would've been once, but I got a call on my first outing by the folks to get the hell home, it's dinner time.

Beat my PB with 24.1k steps and my feet are sore. If I have to do another beat-my-PB challenge again I might just collapse....
