I think all the bugs of the past promotions would have been ironed out.

DSC wIll likely credit almost instantly this time. 😉
I will just put it out there. The first DSC promotion as I recall was the end of Feb or early Mar 17. We are now in Feb 20, why does that matter? There is an extra day in Feb this year. That is likely to be the excuse if QF DSC posting goes south. ;):) They will get there in the end.

DSC';s are applied to the flight in which the eligible SC's were earned, and should (and always have that I am aware of) thus apply to the membership year of that eligible flight.

The LB SC's applying to the year in which redeemed has always been an oddity to me and I do wonder why that is, unless it's a quirk of the implementation since I suppose in a way the loyalty bonus is not specifically tied to an eligible flight per se (even if there is a specific flight credit that triggers one). I always thought the LB SC should apply to the membership year when earned but that obviously is not the case.

Still VERY surprised to see if DSC's really did get applied to a new membership year. Very easy to prove I should think given the DSC enitries in activity log also give the eligible flight date. As always happy to be corrected but I'd love to see proof of this actually happening as suggested.

OK it gets a bit odder now that I've just gone back to screenshot my statement and I was reading it to make sure that I got the right areas - I won't screenshot it onto here though because if QF are reading this they may well take some SC's back off me because it looks like i got double DSC's - shhhh!

Sorry to be a noob, but people booking BCI - LRE are booking one ways, then "refunding" them for vouchers on the spot? I'm looking at saving a few PNRs because I'm greedy >:)

Yep that's right. BCI - LRE one way in Flex Economy (the only option anyway) for $149. Once it is booked and ticketed, you can cancel it, opt for the voucher which is valid for 1 year from date of booking and use it later for DSC as long as the new flights are taken by Feb 14th 2021. The voucher will show up under My Bookings where you can redeem it when you're ready.

Hero, thanks for your prompt reply :) Time to do a few sneaky bookings...

Then that’s TSC (triple status credits). 😅

And then there is the FAQ, as tortured as that is:

Are Qantas Flight vouchers eligible for this offer?
Flight Vouchers purchased and redeemed for an eligible flight booking made during the promotion will earn double Status Credits. Flight Vouchers purchased but not redeemed for an eligible flight booking (for flights that are not booked or travelled within the booking or travel period dates), will not earn double Status Credits.

As RichardMEL points out, you could fly a 747 through the gaping hole in the terms. "... (for flights that are not booked or travelled within the booking or travel period dates) ..." [emphasis added]. The travel period is, what, until 14 February 2021? So, with the "or", if someone purchases a voucher on 26 February 2020 but then doesn't apply it until 26 March 2020, DSCs should still apply because the person booked during the "travel period dates".

It shouldn't be this hard but Qantas makes it that way and we are the benefactors. (Obviously, you'd need to argue with QF if things don't go your way but my points is, to my reading, it's very clearly all good from a voucher perspective.)

I can only talk as someone that has had a variety of outcomes on GV. They may work. They may not. Other things may happen.....

So I ended up booking flights which requalifes me back into gold, better half into WP and puts my my 6 yo and 10 yo into gold too :O I think i now have flights every school holidays and every long weekend for the next 12 months! :O

I might be the first (and probably only) person to get TSC! 180 SC's for a Flex Y from DPS-MEL is a good pay day!
Some years ago I was on a DSC flight Syd to NYC.
Coming back checked in at NYC for the flight home and was awarded the usual plus DSC
Only thing there was major issues with that particular flight and we had a 12hour delay in LA . So I had to check in at LA on the next day . Yeppers separate set of SC and DSC applied .
So I dare say it does happen on occasions when a "direct " flight ends up not being direct. Similar to having to request ORC I suspect

I made a few bookings at around 9pm the 26/2, and received confirmation emails around 2am (with the attached pdfs having issuing and payment dates as 27/2). Is there any way I can prove my purchase during the eligible period? (I've never had DSC issues before, but am becoming increasingly wary).

Did you print a PDF of the page that showed up when you completed the booking? That's a good idea as it shows the PNR was created within the promo period.

QF uses computers that run on GMT time so most likely you won't have any issues.

Their systems should have recorded the time that the PNR was created which was on the 26/2 AEST.

If you do have problems explain that you booked it at 9pm on the 26/2 and QF's computers took a long time to issue and send you your ticket.

I reckon you’ll be ok, I think booking and paying before midnight was key. I booked before midnight, generating the PNR, and the last email didn’t arrive until noon the next day.

Sacre Blue. I made all sorts of bookings to WP requal then cancelled them yesterday All domestic J so no refund issues. ! I decided that likely our trips os might be seriously curtailed next membership year due to this damn virus and WP wasn’t worth the funds payout. MrP will requal easily so I will just have to only travel with him. And him being lifetime SG takes some of the WP requal in future years away too.
Might do the 120,000 points if asked.

I better be one of the people to go and convert my BCI-LRE tix to a credit voucher before someone at QF starts buying new aircraft for the extra demand on that segment.

I had made the booking for Jan 2021 so wasn't concerned to cancel it yet but to be fair, many local people to rely on being able to get tickets for the dates they need. I'll convert this to a voucher later today and open up the seats.
