Yes.Apologies if this is not the place to ask this question.
But if I book Sydney to Auckland return in such a way that it will be Sydney to Melbourne to Auckland to Melbourne to Sydney. Then does that count as four eligible Qantas flights?
Thanks

Seems erratic. I’ve just stumbled on this thread that shows I’m not the only oneWas very quick just a minute ago when I made my two dummy bookings using the @Matt_01 method
I think they may have closed this loophole. I bought some gift vouchers on the assumption I'd be able to use them to book DSC-eligible flights after the 25th of February (but travelling before the travel expiry period in February 2021). However I noticed - only after the fact - that there's no way of recording the FF number when purchasing the gift vouchers. So the gift voucher PNRs do not appear in my Manage My Bookings screen. The T&C's make me question if they may have closed this loophole....?
"Flight gift vouchers purchased during the promotion but not redeemed for an eligible flight booking during the promotion period will not earn double Status Credits."
I assume 'redeemed for an eligible flight booking during the promotion period' means redeemed before 25 Feb 2020, for travel by 14 Feb 2021?
That’s always been the case that they don’t show but when you make the booking you add in the FF number.I think they may have closed this loophole. Is there a way of linking my FF with the gift voucher PNRs and would that make these GVs eligible for the promotion?

Hm. I seem to recall seeing gift voucher bookings on my MMB screen even before making the actual flight booking. That gave me some comfort that the DSCs would come through even if I booked the flight after the "book by" offer period (as long as the travel was within the "travel by" offer period of course). But maybe I'm mis-remembering?That’s always been the case that they don’t show but when you make the booking you add in the FF number.
You may be thinking of the voucher that is created when you have cancelled a flight and accepted the voucher instead of a refund.Hm. You might be right - my memory is a bit fuzzy. You may be thinking of the voucher that is created when you have cancelled a flight and accepted the voucher instead of a refund.
Well, they aren’t dead money regardless and using them avoids the credit card surcharge I believe. But my memory is fuzzy on that! You might be right - my memory is a bit fuzzy.
I've bought four gift vouchers and am trying to decide if I should buy some more before tomorrow for travel I'm likely to take in the next 12 months (but don't have dates for yet).
That's true. But you can't use gift vouchers for Qantas Business Rewards bookings (as far as I can tell), and you can get cheaper seats through QBR than for persona bookings. This (depending on the price difference for the fare involved) can make booking through QBR more cost-effective than using gift vouchers, even with the CC surcharge included. Of course being eligible for DSCs more than makes up for any saving gained through QBR.Well, they aren’t dead money regardless and using them avoids the credit card surcharge I believe.
In the early days of gift vouchers being set up as PNR's one indeed had the opportunity to enter a frequent flyer number when buying.Hm. I used my $450 Amex travel credit, booked via the Amex travel website, for a DSC trip in late 2018 and received the extra SCs. I haven't used the travel credit for DSC bookings since then, but assume that it will continue to work.- The DSCs will apply for bookings on the Amex Travel website? (I think so, as travel agents are included within the T&Cs of the offer)
- The Amex Ultimate $450 travel credit can be used without affecting earning of DSCs?
