your link says

It included the following:

KrisFlyer miles that are expiring in January 2022 will be extended to July 2022. If the KrisFlyer miles remain unutilised by end-July 2022, they will be extended to January 2023.

Those of us who did the pre devaluation transfer from VA->SQ have lucked in now with Dec 21 —> Jun 22 (current) -> Dec 22 -> Jun 23!

so from that link,
for regular Kris miles, anything expiring in 2022 will be extended by 6 months, so the earliest anyones miles are going to expire is 1st july 2023, if this is the case, thats great!!

No…. It’s in 6 month blocks so you could expire in Jan 2023

And my miles which were always due to expire in April 2023 are still due to expire in April 2023. See what happens in a year's time...

Well if you can qualify for Elite Gold by end of Feb in the current promo you will be able to extend them for 6 months for free.

that was me from March 2020 (or whenever the first round of extensions was announced) till yesterday's announcement.
mine were always going to expire in June 2022 without any extensions, which is why I was going to go for gold and pay points to get another 12 months extension

Though this will still be of benefit to many, including myself.

With the announcement on the 12 month Elite Status Extension (based on your status in March 2022 -Feb23), and rollover of Elite Points from the year prior to 1 March 2022, it would would suggest in my case that I will now have already qualified for my Gold renewal in Nov 2023 (I had already prequalified for renewal in Nov 2022).

If so I will be Gold till Nov 2024, and then drop to Silver till Nov 2025, which means that I will have the ability to extend points expiring up until Nov 2025 :) (Note edited)

As such that should provide me with good ability to smooth out my current points that are already stashed already with Krisflyer.

extension has never been free. you pay the same amount as someone with zero status but as a gold/silver you get 12months extension, instead of 6 months

Ah, ok.

I misread the table as meaning that there was no fee for 6 months extension.

How about a concerted campaign (starting from AFF) where everybody sends SIA an email requesting an end to the 3 year life on KFMs to generate substantial goodwill which will only encourage greater use of SIA going forward.

If we can get at least in the low hundreds - given all the bad news & complaints they will be receiving over call centre changes etc - it may become 'a great idea' from their marketing team...

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Now what would be the best email address to use, or would their FB page & email be a better way to go?
