Ditto.....
Double Ditto.
Ditto.....
We're both WP but didn't pre-register. Anyway will just wait patiently. Thanks for the replies.
Not an advantage if the AUD goes up lol
Not quite.
My understanding is if you pull it out of a different bucket you pay the MasterCard spot less 3%.
Real world scenario, need beer money on a Saturday night in Singapore:
Citibank ATM $200 SGD = $172.08 debited to my plus account or 1.1622
Qantas Cash currently 1.1278
XE
200.00 SGD = 170.317 AUD
Singapore Dollar ↔ Australian Dollar
1 SGD = 0.851584 AUD 1 AUD = 1.17428 SGD
On this example the Q Cash ex rate is just over 3% worse than City Bank...what about if you take into account any ATM fees?
Looks like I have found a little trap, put money in Thursday night, cleared this morning, went to use it this afternoon and it declined, bad card number. As my status has been rolled over it looks like a new card number has been generated making my active card inactive sometime in the last week, and up to ten days until a new one arrive, glad I am not overseas relying on that money, as I feel this is a major flaw of the system!
OMG, that has got to be the biggest school boy error of all! Seems like this product has not been that well thought out after all.
I've pretty much decided to move to Citi anyway. Just using ones ordinary bank card without incurring fees is much simpler than faffing around loading up other cards. My OzForex card will just expire in a couple of years swallowing up the remain few cents on it up.
I'll have Citi for cash and the Bankwest Platinum for card purchases when abroad, all without any fees.
Following on from our previous conversation I can confirm your new Qantas frequent flyer card with you Qantas cash facility has been reissued to you on 10/09/2013, this card should be delivered to you within 10 business days.
This would be the reason why you are unable to use your current card. I would advise to wait for your new card to be delivered before trying to make any further purchases or withdrawals.
