Why is it so hard for them to just post a world map of what these "regions" are?

Maybe, but with the massive reduction in partner earn SC, they also want us to fly Qantas when they aren't available.
I have no issue with QF giving a cough earn when flying CX MEL-HKG or JL SYD-NRT. I do have an issue when they want to give a cough earn because I want to fly CX HKG-JFK.
It appears the monetary values carry some importance.
SQ grants you PPS club membership if you have spent at least $SIN25,000 in the previous 12 months with them.
Judging from the levels of benefits alone, it appears that PPS membership is more highly valued than (say) SQ Silver or even Gold which you could achieve by repeated, frequent Y flights.
So, from your example, it would appear that QF would value the F pax more.
..... what is the thread about again ????
I feel we are just venting our frustrations, maybe anger at what QF had done - in essence, devaluing the QFF currency.
But, I sincerely doubt if anything we say / write here would make any iota of difference.
QF moves on.
So have I.
C'est la vie !
I certainly enjoy the scene while it lasts but I won't sit here crying forever.
Apologies if I am missing something on the uber confusing 'simple' tables, but I don't see anything that suggests the earning for HKG-JFK on CX is reduced. Wouldn't it fall into the "All other flights" category as it's not a specified routing?

In the new SC earning table for Partner Airlines all flights of more than 6,501 miles earn the same amount of SCs, de facto removing what used to be zone 8, 9 and 10.
In the case of HKG-JFK on CX, yes. It's the beauty of the new simplified system...if your flight doesn't fall in the 58 new categories, you can find the SC earn by looking at "all other flights" category:mrgreen:So it effectively moves from zone 8 to zone 7?
...Anyone who has Lurpak as his avatar must know "how it's done". Maybe we should meet up sometime Mr. Hancock and have high tea, warm scones dripping with Lurpak and strawberry jam, you just have no idea how excited that makes me thinking about that... "Purr"Anyway, on topic, I am suffering time zone sleep deprivation ...
It makes you: ingenuine

I just tried Sydney to SFO classic reward, routes via Dubai and more points of course.
What a crock.

The side effects on overdosing on Lurpak are still not known.
He said every year, he'd take his most prized 20% of customers, aka the 20% who made up 80% of his sales, and would treat them to something really special. Conversely, he would take his bottom 20% of customers, aka the customers who brought in very little income, but took up 80% of his time, and he would dump them.
Just did up some calcuations to work out the ease/difficulty to get OWE status using non-QF OW flights. Using SYD as the base, I've put in CX MPC, BAEC, and AAdvantage as comparisons to HKG, SIN, and LHR.
For HKG on CX flights, QF requires 24 one-way J trips. CX = 21, BA = 11, AA = 15
SIN on BA, QF = 24, CX = 25, BA = 11, AA = 18
LHR (1 flight number) on BA via SIN, QF = 10, CX = 10, BA = 7, AA = 7
FRA (2 flight numbers) on CX via HKG, QF = 10, CX = 10, BA = 6, AA = 7
Note 1: decimals are rounded up to the nearest full number (you can't really take 0.3 of a trip)
Note 2: If QF coded flights are used, the numbers for QF would become HKG & SIN = 12, LHR & FRA = 5 on business. Flexible business require one less one-way trip for the 2 Asian cities, and remain the same for the 2 European cities.
Note 3: If I made a mistake, let me know and I'll update.
EDIT 1: LHR on AA corrected to 7.
I'm curious to hear what constitutes a 'genuine' frequent flyer versus a 'non-genuine' one.
