It was 4 within the first 6 months or so IIRC to extend it.

I have to say I was surprised that my Virgin Gold Status match was extended for another year. I did actually stay at Hiltons around the world but not enough for a requalification.

Won't be able to take advantage however as world trip now means no travel

Good work, can you tell me how long it took for it to come through?

From my understanding, it doesn't matter when you apply, as if before April 1st, you'll get till 2015 but after it will be 2016. Just wondering if I might as well opt in now.

No, if you apply in January or later you should have it for up to 27 months.

Some (like me) would sometimes wait until April 1st for any prior status to reset before invoking the benefit.

My initial trigger was 20th May (see post here), so it took 7 weeks to be received by me - no dates on anything inside to know when it was mailed.

My expiry date is 21 months ahead (of today), so in line with the comment from serfty in his previous post.

Never received any card in the last 3 years of being gold and diamond. Even after requesting one and double checking my address details. Never needed it but still, wonder what the story is.

The playing cards have been mentioned by a few AFFers so far. All I've received is a single page letter and card in a boring envelope (which would appear to be more than some receive). I'm not into the presentation packs so it doesn't bother me. I much prefer they keep the packs and supply the benefits!

My Diamond 'Welcome Pack' was a letter with a plastic card stuck to the bottom.

They 'enhance' HHonors (ie inflate points required to do anything) and then improve the pack.

I opted-in on the 10th for the HHonors program (as an existing HH member), any ideas as to when I might receive confirmation? I've looked through the thread and am still a little confused... I don't care about the welcome pack, but am really hoping for the gold bump to happen by Thursday night as I've got a DoubleTree stay. Thanks for the advice!

Bu contrast to the way HHonors process their uplifts, I have today received a confirmatory email from Hertz that I am Presidents Circle. So both were done on 20 May, Hilton takes 5-10 days, Hertz took 2 months. Go figure :shock:...
