IMHO it depends upon how far ahead the booking is. i.e. if it's soon then it's a risk but if it's in the future and it holds for a 'reasonable' period then I believe it's their problem.It would seem that perhaps this is an issue with this particular hotel as per this blog:

They recommend calling again as another agent may have better luck, but as the blog finishes - what if the hotel then cancels the stay at a later date?
