Funnily enough they get charged if the complaint goes to FOS (regardless of outcome) so the threat that you will frequently leads to action!An update on my experience. The 40K signup bonus didn't post automatically after the deadline was up. I ended up calling customer service twice, but no one could tell me what was wrong. I even got transferred to some dispute resolution specialist. On the third occasion, I said if I didn't see my points within a week or two, I would be going to the ombudsman. On that very day a few hours later, I got a nice phone call from someone based in Australia who said that she got referred to my case and was willing to help and act as my responsible contact. In the end, it took her another two weeks before the issue was finally resolved as she too had to escalate the issue internally. So I was happy in the end.
