perhaps we could marshall at The Wing F lounge initially for champagne and lunch before adjouring to The Pier for some afternoon 'tea' at The Long Bar with a good view of the arrivals on 07L/25R then perhaps a quick stop at the EK lounge for the top shelf stuff followed by The Bridge for a slice of pizza and a nap on the couch then a quick look in at The Cabin for a toasted panini and a cleansing juice.

Rounding it all out with a quick stop at the G16 before finishing up at the QF lounge :)

(those going for the full set may need to make a pre-visit to The Arrival beforehand)

Sounds like a plan Look forward to meeting you all.

Anyone in HKG airport between 1:00pm-2:00pm today?
Landed at 1.15pm but too late now. We seem to have a bit of a record of being in the same airports at the same time but never running into each other.

Wan chai computer centre for computers also but more expensive
Although if you're on HK island to start with, there's no point going to the other places unless you plan on buying lots and/or expensive items.

Reminder on the yum cha Sun morning - starts 9.30am sharp at W Hotel (Sing Yin) on 1/F. Booked under Andy for 9 pax if you happen to arrive first. Last order is 10.30am so we'll all finish up and be airside at roughly midday.

I've checked out the restaurants. This is going to be fun!

QF127 landed at 7.17 so hopefully Medhead won't be too far away.

Are you guys going to Choi Hung (green line) then 1A minibus to Sai Kung?1A is only 25 minutes and runs every 5 minutes. Cost is $8.40.

Flashback and myself are now in Honkers, and settled into hotel. No catch ups tonight tho, have tourist duties ;)

I bailed, extremely poor form. but a mixed good and bad flight so I just feel like forgetting today. Sorry

Did have a good chat to BrettMC on QF127 today, that was part of the good stuff.

My rotten luck meant we were circling HKG for ~45 minutes and no sooner had I landed at ~2:00pm we were rushed through transit onto direct HKG-ICN which they held. My original HKG-TPE-ICN wasn't held and got away on time.

Looks like I got last seat available in business 26K. The other 5-6 people were in economy and some of those boarding passes had awful looking seat number. Flight delayed further after we boarded but still got in earlier than my original flight due to arrive.

Korean TV is driving me nuts. Even the English channels.

Bets on I am going to arrive late tomorrow.

Sounds like an adventure, JohnK I have had a few of those with ex TPE runs especially in typhoon season...HK atc is a bit 'special' at present..9/10 of my last flights involved holding at least 20mins

We circled for about 30 mins as well. It was chockers when we got on the ground as well. As we turned off the high speed exit to the taxiway to the terminal, we could see a JAL 777 almost at the flare, so it's not like we had any spare time getting off that runway. And then there was a stream of aircraft ahead of us as we headed to the terminal.

Your experience was vastly different to mine.

I was in 80k and had a double shadow which was nice. WhY was. 75% full downstairs.
The exit row 79 was also empty, although during the boarding a vacationing QF staff member was moved there. He received a great chat from the CSM, F bubbles, J headphones, F amenities kit and a J blanket and pillow.

I got a welcome 4 hours into the flight from the supervisor and upon decent a thank you.

I'm glad a WP1 can be valued so much.

(To be honest it really doesn't bother me as you get what you pay for , which in my case was a stupidly low airfare) but service consistency is certainly still a big issue.

Don't worry .. the only airline I've had a personal greeting on was CX and that was today

Thought I would put up a summary:

Pre-visit: The Arrival (for those who have access, please do so before the start of airside proceedings)

Then, in the order of visit:
Lounge 1: The Wing F (Makeshift marshaling area)
Lounge 2: The Pier
Lounge 3: EK Lounge (those without access, we'll figure something out)
Lounge 4: The Bridge
Lounge 5: The Cabin
Lounge 6: G16
Lounge 7: QF

I am now on the direct ICN-HKG flight and will head to arrivals lounge on arrival.

What time do we meet at the Wing?

I thought midday to 1 pm was the tentative time to start meeting.

I'll be doing my shopping, touristing this morning and will then try to get to the W for the end of brunch. But I'm rather unreliable so don't wait for me. Heading towards the airport as per the above time anyway.

I'm currently in The Arrivals, waiting around before I head to the W.

I should do some shopping too. Feeling lazy though.

CX once again top notch. It didn't feel 'special' but that's the novelty wearing off for me :(

Milano lounge was surprisingly quite good too.
