Brekky ends up being $24 for 2 people ($12 each), which is tremendous value for buffet, and you get to order one fresh hot menu item from chef as well.. Eg eggs benedict, omelette, etc. Not the best breakfast I've ever had but passable and for $12 per person can't be beat if you need to eat and go..

Any knowledge of accessing Accor Platinum benefits if hotel booking made through 3rd party? i.e. Executive Lounge access at Park Plaza Westminster Bridge London?

Mate just made gold.
Do you keep your status after 1st year?
He seems to have kept his status..... All stays.... No promo points he claims.

Yep am aware of Ts & Cs but thought somebody might have actual exp. Hilton is variable - some hotels forbid it some honor willingly - guess we wait and see.

I recall several years ago someone managed to get points for a third party booking. Apart from that I haven't seen any other recent reports of honouring points or acknowledging status. This topic needs a thread of its own, so we can take advantage of any properties that are that way inclined.

How does Accor treat you an an Elite guest?

JohnK seems to do ok via a cash back website. Although technically it's still booking direct. I'm not sure if he's still using that technique.

I book all my Accor, IHG, and SPG bookings via Ebates cashback which connects automatically to the hotels website so bookings are done direct. Get between 4 and 10% cash back 4 times per year

Chose this hotel because of the other posts noting successful upgrades. Was very happy that my booking was also upgraded. And so was my wife. :-) Thank-you to all for the tip to book here.

First time at this property ( formely Sebel) I could see the booking in my reservations on the Accor site, but hotel did not have any of this info of my status.
Staying here again next week, see if they have my details beforehand.

Got a email from Accor stating that I have stayed and earned xx_ amount of points and stayed xx_ amount of nights and that I have been given my Platinum for another 12 months.

OK great I thought, i am already Plat til 8/2016 so another 12 months will take me to 8/2017.

Alas no, they have given me Plat til 4/2017, so its 12 months from now they give, not your anniversary date which really only equates to an extension of 8 months.

Not to worry I guess, better than nothing

In addition, a 'Welcome back for your second stay ...' letter from the manager. This place has perhaps the best elite recognition of any Accor I've been in.

That hotel does it well. Except when the welcome letter called me Mr Blackcat...
