How long for complimentary hotel status to come through

Did anyone end up with two memberships to Hilton HHonors?

My existing membership was upgraded to Gold in October through this program, and now I've just received a second membership pack with a new membership number, also at Gold status.

I'll call them to sort it out, but was wondering if anyone else was as lucky as me.

Yes, me too. Obviously they don't separate those pre-existing HH members after upgrade and new accounts generated as a result.

You don't have to call them, log into your account you wish to keep (most likely your original) and you can nominate other HH accounts to be merged.

(it's under the tab "Member Services", then "Account Services", then "Combine Multiple Accounts")

The really odd thing is they *did* upgrade my existing membership first, the about 3 weeks later I got a brand new membership (along with the email from Virgin Australia congratulating me etc).

Just as another data point for this discussion, I requested a status match to Hilton Diamond (was an existing Blue member) on Monday 14/11, got the e-mail the same day from Velocity acknowledging the request, which they said would be processed within 20 working days. Checked Hilton site today (for booking purposes, not to check status), and lo and behold, I'm Diamond. And I definitely wasn't yesterday! Apart from the first e-mail, I've received no correspondence yet, electronic or otherwise.

So that was 7 or 8 working days, they seem to have the process nailed now, and maybe there was a flood of match applications at the beginning.

When you receive your card, could you let the Forum know the expiry date for your Diamond status. Cheers.

I've just logged on to check and have been upgraded from Blue to Gold. I submitted my request early last week also so it seems as though they are on top of the process now.

Arrrrr. Just got my new Hilton card and I am a blue member!!!! Not diamond and not happy because I know this will painfull to fix..
Velocity say they can't help and directed me to Hilton!!!!!

Well made a request yesterday for the Hilton offer through DJ, soon after I got an email saying it would take about 20 working days.

That would be perfect for next year's FT SIN DO.

Got the email on 18 Nov to welcome me. No card but logged into the site and have already booked my first stay as a Diamond.

VA Comp HH Status

Not sure if this is the right place to post this but does anyone know how long it takes for the comp elite status for HH offered by VA to go through? I requested HH Gold 3 days ago and it still has not updated in my HH account.

My comp Diamond status took forever to come through - 7+ weeks, I was gold already.

As it turned out, I earned Diamond not long after getting comp'd as one AFF member knows - I'm not slow to flash the letter around

I applied quite some time ago and haven't received my card yet - but my status update online within a week, and I've successfully stayed at HSW once and received the corresponding benefits without the card.

One you HH details are recorded correctly you should not need your card. They will/should always come back with 'we have you HH details on file thankyou'
