I'm feeling a bit sad ...[My SC's are getting wiped today... =( ]

I was presuming it's the anniversary of the month joined - but I have no record of the month I joined.
I guess you don't look at your QANTAS Frequent Flyer membership card very often. That has the month and year that you joined on it. My SCs expire at the end of the same month of the year I joined.

Edit: Oops I meant SCs not points.

Will lose 1495 in 4 weeks... and I am quite pleased with this amount. The 3100 I lost last year really hurt, kicking myself I got so close to P1, yet so far.

Lost my 3140 yesterday. So close to P1 for the first time but couldn't justify the cost to make up the difference given the flying I'll be doing 2017. HNY everyone.

D'oh . I thought it just had the year and didn't check .

Is there some delay in status changing after end of your anniversary?

My SG should have expired 31 Dec, and my status credits etc have reset but I am still showing as Gold when I log into the website. I was hundreds of points short of re qualifying for gold so certainly not expecting a comped year or anything.

Well, this could be good news indeed. Any will likley keep me buying a few more QF tickets that I otherwise would have taken to VA. About to lock in VA gold for +12 months (via Pilot Gold) so was planning on flying a lot more VA/NZ, but prefer QF anyway.

Can't rule out a comp, but of course there's a lag, they have to allow time for late-Year flights to credit.

Last time I was downgraded a status level it took 4 days to happen. But I've also been comped a level before as well.

If you still have gold on the 5th January I'd say you are looking good. Btw when comped I got a letter confirming it, not sure if they still do that.

Well my current card shows expiry of DEC 2016, so I guess I am getting a new card in the mail either way.

My crash this year was the end of a slippery slide. Quick ride to WP then a slow but steady slide down through SG, one year comped, PS and now back to where I started at NB with the only saving grace a few years of QP in the bank. Still have a healthy points balance and more international J to come so not all bad.
Have lived that and agree it isn't much fun.Blew the 850k points I had left in one hit as well.

Given QF don't fly to too many places ex PER it will be a SIN holiday this year to ensure Lounge access! *

*Not the real reason but works for AFF!

Yes - they typically hold one's status for a few days into the next month, lest some late SC's come in.

If no new card by mid December, then I suspect you are unlikely to be being comped.

This should all be clear by the end of the week.

Yep :( Dropped down to Silver overnight

not a very nice Xmas gift

To be fair to QF, I didn't fly enough (not earning flights anyway) to qualify for silver, let alone keep gold - so I can't really complain about a soft landing to silver. Ah well, VA gold until at least 28/02/2018, so guess most of my flying goes to VA/NZ now :)

Does anyone know how it's set? I was presuming it's the anniversary of the month joined - but I have no record of the month I joined.
I joined around the 20th or 22nd of May. My anniversary is 31 May.

Well I'm losing 1,625 SCs in two days :(

Not sure I'll be earning that many status credits in a membership year anytime soon again.

But the more important number is the 635 SCs needed to get the lifetime gold. I have 180 SCs work out in flights but going to be a low number of paid flights in 2017 so might not happen this year.
