Makes sense, and yes I made my average which apart from 1 recent year is usually just below the level required. So I wont jump the gun until a new card turns up, or if not comped 2 cards (QFF and QP for 9-10mths). In reality I have only used the SG card once last year, as all other flights in J (generally Award or Pts upgrades on domestic, cash on Int). You will need a few more days or so before you could assume that. They allow a little time for credits from flights on partner airlines to come in before dropping you back from Gold to Silver if you fell short.
Edit: if you get comped they would send you a letter saying so accompanied with your new card. They typically send these out even before the year ends so sometimes you may get a letter but actually qualify after that with flights just before the year ends so it turns out not to be a comp after all.
Were you close to the 600 SCs and was your 3 year average good?

I am not as sad as I might have been. While my SCs were reset to 0 overnight, my status still shows Gold even though I fell short of the required earn, and the login message clearly says I have to earn 600SCs to hold it next year - so looks like they may have comped me. On the other hand, the list of forward bookings is total skew-wiff, so maybe I should wait and see.
Edit: Booking list has returned to normal but still showing Gold with 600 to earn, so looks like a big thank you to QF.
Yep, look up thread to posts dates around the 4th - 6th of each month as this thread grows.Makes sense, and yes I made my average which apart from 1 recent year is usually just below the level required. Just to confirm everyone's suspicion, the drop back the PS occurred today. Have to wait now for re-issue of the balance of QP membership card that should run until the end of the year.Makes sense, and yes I made my average which apart from 1 recent year is usually just below the level required. Now that I am nearly retired, and rarely flying QF internationally, the prospects for getting back to higher status levels has pretty much faded. Oddly, it seems to matter little as I use U class most of the time to keep us in the J lounges.
Last day of SG before the drop to PS
If mine was anything to go by there'll be some sort QP Membership thrown in.Last day of SG before the drop to PS
