I'm feeling a bit sad ...[My SC's are getting wiped today... =( ]

Another year starts. Pretty happy with the number given I also burnt/flew around 1.2M points in the year .... 99% pure leisure :)
Nice. I can only dream of burning/flying that many points. It would take me years to save up that many points.

Well, over a life-time, mine were split over Ansett (and lost points at the demise) and QF since then. So havin been wiped out, I didn't see the value in stockpiling....

the trouble of course is how you burn while continuing to earn Status Credits. Under current arrangements, it's one or the other but that's a risk I've accepted....

My meagre SCs this year were wiped on same day as Amaroo, my status was comped for the new year.
I'm happy

My 1135 SC were wiped and I have dropped back to LTG - waiting on 120 SC from last years DSC offer to post - have to wait until the end of March to chase them (They won’t do anything until 6 weeks passes)

Only positives I can see is I may get a LTG card in the mail, and the status chains and the loyalty I felt I had given QF loose strength every day.

585 SC wiped on 28th Feb. Not a lot of flying in the last couple of years, so will now have to settle for Lifetime Gold (I was comped to WP last year). I'll have to get used to sitting further back now, and less change of a shadow (though this seemed to have become less reliable for WPs anyway).

Low ( few '00s) SC count in past year, SCs wiped on Feb 28. Plat status hung in for 3 days, now back to Gold ( lifetime). First time in over 10 years non Plat. I thought the ' 3 year average' might save me, but when they started bringing in points for status, I knew I was probably stuffed.

Will requal in a few months, but mildly annoying they didn't even offer me a challenge, which I could have easily met. What's the best number to call to grovel?

Just remember the T-80 hack which can often get you into row 4

The card arrived yesterday 15th March.
Nice short message
Good stuff.

What you have here from other anecdotes is the equivalent of the rainbow unicorn - comped with new card arriving after the expiry date. Normally physical cards for comps (and renewals) arrive two weeks or more before the end of the "year".

I'd say more a rainbow unicorn flying kitten....."let us fly" especially since the butterfly wings are apparently upside down!

Thanks to previous inspiration for this.

My 1,320SCs will be gone by midnight. As SG it’s depressingly close.

But all is not lost. I still have 80SC due on a DSC trip from two weeks ago.

Oddly, it was a four sector PNR for which DSC for the first sector posted within 3 days.

I’m slightly tempted to call QF just to make sure, but given all the reports of people being told to wait the six weeks I guess there’s not much point.

I just hope I don’t have to argue my case for WP at the end of April... or miss WP benefits for too many of my April trips (3 at this stage).

Sob .... It was sad on April 1st to see my hard earned points all gone, but nice to think that with DSC, Plat should be retained by the end of June. Oh well, it's lucky we all love flying!:)
