I'm in the VA Lounge thread

In Perth now, for an uncertain period. VA694 has no estimated departure time due to engineering. People may not be surprised to hear the aircraft in question is XFA.

In OOL VA Lounge for the SYD leaving in 1/2 Hour.... Then in SYD for the return around 1600 today :)

On an unrelated note, why can't SYD have priority security screening... Breezed passed a 15+ minute wait in the normal line, loved it!! :)

I think I have a special talent of turning Coke into water in the Vlounge - first in MEL & now in BNE.

But it does even though it's not advertised as such. Use the Valet entry & then straight into the Vlounge! If you're HLO, you don't need to check in at the regular desk, you can check in at the Valet desk. Nor do you need to be using the valet service.

You can use it if you're in J and/or are VFF SG/WP.

Well I am taking off on a private charter waving right now 16:30

Just left the Melbourne lounge. Works still ongoing. It looks however that the current middle bit may be left as is externally as they have painted it black. Given the way the two other pieces were assembled I thought they may have gone for consistency between the E and F piers. You may be able to see in the background the outline of the mystery rooftop lounge also under construction. It looks positioned to allow premium entry like in Sydney, although perhaps with less benefit until T3 security is moved.

Fair point.... Never thought about walking into Valet entry - I'll have to try it next time I'm in transit through SYD.....

I always check my bags in at Sydney then walk to the valet entry, show my boarding pass and straight through security and into the lounge.

Its just outside the drop-off area of departures correct? To your left if your walking out of the terminal...

I went J to OOL ex SYD in July & it wasn't mentioned. But the check in guy mentioned it when I went J to MEL in August & had no drama.

I knew about it but I thought it was for people using the valet only.
