Jetstar Delays/Cancellations

A windy afternoon in Melbourne sees JQ439 OOL-MEL (A321 VH-VWX) with a delayed arrival at 19 09, 59 tardy.
JQ742 LST-MEL (A320 VH-VQK) had a worse delay, arriving at 20 07, 107 min late.
JQ521 SYD-MEL (A321 VH-VWT) had a revised arrival at 20 29, 89 behind.
JQ740 LST-MEL (A320 VH-VQR) arrived tardy at 20 23, 53 min behind schedule.
JQ797 MCY-MEL (A320 VH-VFL) has a suggested arrival at 21 21, 76 tardy.
JQ523 SYD-MEL (A320 VH-VFV) is now expected at 21 23, 63 min late.
JQ943 CNS-MEL (A321 VH-VWU) has a revised arrival at 23 52, 57 min behind.

JQ519 SYD-MEL 18 10 hours was cancelled.
JQ777 ADL-MEL 19 00 hours also cancelled.

Friday 1st of November sees a delay on the red-eye JQ971 PER-MEL (A320 VH-VQP) which arrived at 9 49, 134 late.
JQ503 SYD-MEL (A320 VH-VGT) is now exepcted at 10 33, 118 min tardy.

JQ701 MEL-HBA 6 00 hours service was cancelled

Another 1 November delay is to JQ941 (A320 VH-VFT, the 0620 hours CNS - MEL that punctually took off at 0635.) Arrival should be 1126 hours, 46 late as the aircraft has held above Tocumwal for quite some time. NNW winds at MEL are gusting to 43kmh so that may not assist timekeeping, as the airport looks to be on single runway ops.

JQ510 (1100 hours MEL - SYD) was in the sky at 1154 with A321 VH-VWX. Arrival should be at 1301 hours, 36 minutes behind.

The earlier scheduled northbound JQ506 (0930 hours ex MEL but not in the sky until 1123 hours with A320 VH-VGT) is worse, as arrival is forecast for 1232 hours, 97 minutes behind schedule.

The 1120 hours MEL - HBA, JQ707, took off bang on 1200 'high noon.' A320 VH-VFO should be 1313 hours, 38 minutes tardy.

JQ563 (A321 VH-VWT) is the 0855 hours BNE - MEL that took off at 1014, so delayed arrival is a suggested 65 late at 1325 hours.

On Saturday 2 November 2019, JQ438 (A320 VH-VFO), the 1455 hours MEL - OOL had not taken off by 1622 so will be at least 75 minutes late into the SE Queensland party city. MEL is on single runway operations, which is unhelpful to timekeeping even though Saturday afternoons is normally the quietest period of the week.

JQ7 (B788 VH-VKB), the twice weekly MEL - SIN due off blocks at 1200 'high noon' on Sunday 3 November departed at 1233, taking off at 1256 hours. Arrival should be at 1734, 44 late. AFFer dajop is the world expert on this flight.

The 1210 hours lunchtime MEL up to NTL, JQ474 (A320 VH-VGI) took off at 1259 so predicted arrival has become 35 late at 1415 hours.

Late on 3 November 2019, JQ988 (2005 hours SYD across to PER that was up up and away at 2115 hours with A320 VH-VQP) is estimated to arrive at 2300, bang on, 50 minutes tardy.

On Monday 4 November 2019, B788 VH-VKJ took off at 0116 from MEL bound for what looks like HKG, presumably for maintenance.

Also on 4 November 2019, B788 VH-VKK on the 1005 hours mid morning JQ43 ( the first of the 'double daillies' MEL - DPS) departed at 1152 and promptly took off at 1204 hours, so arrival has become an estimated 1444 hours, 109 minutes behind the schedule.

This is the third time in seven days it's been more than an hour late. Last night, JQ35 (the 1855 hours MEL - DPS) arrived DPS at 2233, 48 late, but VKK then lost further time on the ground, not taking off on JQ36 until 0157 this morning despite a 2315 hours pushback time, so it did not arrive in MEL this morning until 0939 hours, 109 minutes tardy.

Later on 4 November, JQ471 (1825 hours early evening NTL down to MEL not airborne until 1939) has A320 VH-VQL and should arrive 59 late at 2104. As at 2015 a thunderstorm looks about to hit MEL.

JQ37, the 1745 hours SYD - DPS did not take off until 1951 so B788 VH-VKH is estimated to arrive 106 late at 2246 later this evening.

JQ441 (5 November 2019, the 1850 hours early evening OOL - MEL airborne at 1931 with A321 VH-VWT) should arrive at 2240, half an hour tardy.

JQ519 (Thursday 7 November 2019, the scheduled 1810 hours SYD down to MEL with A320 VH-XJE) took off at 1918 so expected arrival is 53 minutes late at 2033 hours.

JQ174, the 2250 hours scheduled late night MEL arrival (ex CHC) is an estimated 45 minutes late, so JQ173 back to CHC is showing as marginally delayed from 2355 hours to 0015 (Friday 8) ex MEL.

The 1855 hours JQ35 from MEL to DPS was forecast to depart at 2040 hours but the delay has extended beyond that. These DPS flights ex and to MEL are unreliable.

JQ518 (2025 hours MEL - SYD airbiorne at 2139) has A320 VH-XJE and should arrive at 2250 hours, an hour behind schedule, meaning it will have lost an extra seven minutes since JQ519 above.

Friday 8 November 2019 sees JQ774 (afternoon's 1355 hours MEL across to ADL) cancelled, as is JQ514, the 1520 hours mid afternoon MEL north to SYD.

JQ522, the 1945 hours MEL - SYD is another to get the boot today.

Later on the strange weatherwise 8 November in southern Victoria - intermittent rain, some hail but then sunny again - JQ606, the 1545 hours AVV up to SYD was in the sky at 1630. A320 VH-VFP should arrive at about 1744, 34 minutes behind the timetable.

UPDATE: With all or almost all flights using the east-west runway 25, JQ606 had to hold and so is arriving SYD at 1804 hours, 54 late.

JQ661 from AYQ to SYD has A320 VH-VGU, with this 1300 hours flight having become airborne at 1356 (about 40 - 45 late), but arrival is delayed until 1837, 67 late after two holding patterns.

Saturday 9 November has JQ26, the 0710 hours CNS - MEL not airborne until 0938 hours (B788 VH-VKI) suggested as arriving at 1335, 125 minutes behind schedule. On Thursday 7, this plane was delayed on the ground in DPS and so arrived SYD on Friday morning at 0950 hoirs, as luck would have it 150 minutes late as JQ38, anjd then operating to CNS, on to KIX and back to CNS has not been able to make up much time. JQ suggests that JQ29 to BKK, the 1435 hours ex MEL will only be delayed by 10 minutes.

UPDATE; JQ29 departed MEL at 1530, taking off at 1546. Expected BKK arrival is at about 2035 hours, 45 behind.

JQ27, the 1510 hours SYD - HKT is worse, having become airborne at 1634. VH-VKL should arrive at 2127 mid evening, 77 minutes past the allotted.

Continuing with Saturday 9, JQ776 (last of the evening at 2120 hours MEL across to ADL) has been cancelled, while the scheduled 2055 hours MEL - BNE JQ570 is predicted to depart half an hour late.

Sunday 10th of November sees JQ973 PER-MEL (A321 VH-VWW) with a revised arrival at 15 51, 81 min tardy.
JQ224 ZQN-SYD (A320 VH-VQC) is suggested to arrive at 14 25, 45 late.

In more on Sunday 10 November, JQ714, the 1505 hours HBA - MEL took off at 1546 with A321 VH-VWY. Arrival should be at 1702 hours, 37 late.

JQ442 has A321 VH-VWY and is the 1705 hours MEL up to OOL airborne at 1812, so forecast delayed arrival is 1900 hours, 50 down. This is its fourth consecutive flight today where this aircraft has been more than 45 minutes late arriving, although the day commenced with a punctual flight:

Mid evening of Wednesday 13 November finds JQ522, the scheduled 1945 hours MEL north to SYD that was not airborne until 2044 (A321 VH-VWZ) likely to arrive at 2152, 42 late.

Southbound JQ523 is the 1845 hours SYD - MEL that was in the sky at 1953, so arrival for A320 VH-VFK is suggested as an even hour late at 2129 hours.

A320 VH-VFI is on the 1940 hours from SYD across to AKL that took off at 2101, so its arrival should be 0145 hours (55 late) on Thursday 14.

JQ821 (VH-VFL) is the scheduled 1730 hours BNE to SYD not pointing skywards until 1911. Expected arrival is 2131 tonight, 86 late.
