JQ408, the Thursday 30 March 1120 hours SYD - OOL (A320 VH-VQH) is arriving at about 1327, 47 minutes late.
The 0940 hours CNS - BNE (JQ931, A320- VH-VQR) took off at 1033 so a 1234 arrival, 44 minutes tardy, is predicted.
VH-VFK on JQ785 (1035 hours BNE - SYD that took off at 1221 hours) should arrive 65 minutes at 1420.
JQ564 (1435 hours MEL to OOL) and JQ438 (1505 hours MEL - BNE) have been cancelled. Wild weather continues to lash much of coastal Queensland south of Mackay.
A320 VH-VGT on JQ565 (1230 BNE - MEL that was airborne at 1321 this afternoon) is an expected 35 late with arrival at 1635.
JQ411 (1220 hours OOL - SYD) has A320 VH-VQH and should arrive at roughly 1541, 51 minutes late.
JQ528 (1915 hours evening flight from MEL to SYD) has also been cancelled.
The 1250 hours MEL - SYD, JQ512 (A321 VH-VWZ) took off more than 90 minutes late at 1413 this afternoon, so arrival in the mainland harbour city has become 1617 hours, 122 late. Earlier today it was the aircraft that ran JQ506, the 1040 hours scheduled arrival in SYD to form JQ509, the scheduled 1045 hours back to MEL. It is impossible to turn a large RPT aircraft around in five minutes: it isn't a suburban train, tram, bus or ferry, or country train, and making matters worse, JQ506 was about 40 minutes late, and then had an extended stay in SYD to lose further time.
JQ's timekeeping on the MEL - SYD - MEL route, Australia's busiest by far, is abysmal.
