JQ travel to earn FF points - for a Fee [even in 'Business']

Well yesterday I clicked on the fare conditions on the JQ booking page and was presented with a 404 page not found error..

I've heard the 17th May will now be the launch (to be in-line with 'QFF changes') which will probably be the points earning on JQ fares.

A week… I can wait then. Though if it doesn’t happen this month, I’m taking my business elsewhere :p

Am I missing something.... QFF changes?

Same?

I hope we are gaining something, not removing more of our benefits. If QF are trying to send is to DJ, then they are on the right track...

That's what i was advised. But could be completly incorrect. Although the JQ product will be changing.

While JQ may be going through a product revamp (packaging or whatever), I imagine that QFF need to implemement something on their side to reflect the change (e.g. changing the classes that earn, or whatever).

I think there is more than just a FF change coming from JQ....

Very interesting! Surely the 50% cabin bonus for Business Max is a mistake!?

Does this mean J points and Status Credits will be a thing of the past for StarClass specials?

I don't think it would be.. guess we will find out on Tuesday!

I wonder what all those fare types mean!

I assume Starter fares are equivalent to Jetsaver (light) at the moment, but the status bonuses for Silver and Gold QFF members are quite generous?! Seems there won't be any points earning for Price Beat Bookings :(

Even the 50% bonus for Business class is more generous than Qantas at the moment.

odoherty, I hope you're not right when saying Starclass sale fares are excluded from earning.. that would be horrible... :(:(

Will have to wait and see what the definitions are, and how Jetsaver, Jetplus, Jetflex and Starclass mapacross to them.

(Business may be something new??)

Sounds *very* NZ like. Maybe Basic = Seat, Basic Plus Seat+Bag+Points, Max = Seat, Bag, Points, Meal & IFE (for a330 services)

Maybe Business = Seat only as well. You have to buy Max for a bag, points, meals and IFE.

Y service in J seats and maybe J service in Y seats!

Only reference on the fares page that I can find is right at the bottom in the find print.

...JetFlex or Business Class fare may earn Points and Status Credits...

Which suggests business class will not mean flexi economy (I had feared they'd sell DJ style 'corporate' ticket but not business class). I didn't expect the 1000 points minimum, but we are rather accustom to that in Aus. Hopefully starter plus will mean anyone flying on a regular fare w/ bags (no 2 cent fares) will get QFF points. Really will win over a few of us folk me thinks.

edit again: Also on the 'flights on hold' page (is that new too? I saw it a few days ago and wondered...)

"The standard JetSaver, JetFlex, JetPlus and Business Class fare conditions apply."

I think they're only updated that one page that was found, the others haven't been updated, nor the booking pages (still shows jetsaver/flex etc.)

If starter plus means that that would be quite good! But I would think that they wouldn't give points just for checking-in luggage. Unless check-in luggage suddenly cost $20.

Hopefully you're right though, I might turn up at the airport with a Plus fare and no luggage...
