That's a better find. Actually I read it as promo (sale) Star Class no longer gets lounge access or points.

StarClass Promo (Sale)... Remember: because your booking is existing as at 17 May, you will still be entitled to lounge access and Qantas Frequent Flyers can earn Qantas Frequent Flyer points and Status credits on eligible Jetstar flights for this booking. This is because these were benefits of your fare originally purchased. Please note however that new Business fare bookings made from 17 May will not be entitled to these benefits.

StarClass and Business Max say: "Exactly the same inclusions and equivalent conditions as you had before"

Starter Fare is not eligible to earn Qantas Frequent Flyer Points and Status Credits.

Starter Fare with Plus Bundle is eligible to earn Qantas Frequent Flyer Points and Status Credits at the Qantas Discount Economy rate, subject to the Qantas Frequent Flyer Terms and Conditions.
Points and Status credits are not earned on flights operated by Jetstar Pacific (BL).

Starter Fare with Max Bundle is eligible to earn Qantas Frequent Flyer Points and Status Credits at the Qantas Economy rate, subject to the Qantas Frequent Flyer Terms and Conditions.
Points and Status credits are not earned on flights operated by Jetstar Pacific (BL).

Business Fare is not eligible to earn Qantas Frequent Flyer Points and Status Credits.

Business Fare with Max Bundle is eligible to earn Qantas Frequent Flyer Points and Status Credits at the Qantas Business rate, subject to the Qantas Frequent Flyer Terms and Conditions.

Starter = zilch, zero, nothing, nada
Starter + Plus = Discount Economy rate
Starter + Max = Economy rate
Business = zilch, zero, nothing, nada
Business + Max = Business rate

NB, what is a Flight Upgrade Award?

I'm surprised they didn't offer economy class points and status credits for the standard "Business" fare. It will be interesting to see where the price point of a standard Business fare falls compared to a Starter (Economy) seat.

I'm glad I made an International Starclass booking last week now.

So luggage is still extra for any economy fare (what?).

No lounge access for Business, only Business Max.

However...

Qantas Club members and Business Max passengers may access Qantas Club, Gold Coast and partner lounges, where available, when travelling on a Jetstar (JQ), Jetstar Asia (3K) or Valuair (VF) flight.

So does that mean QP, SG & WP now all have access to any lounges JQ utilise? If not they better fix up that phrasing.

Looks like what futaris said

Starter = zilch, zero, nothing, nada
Starter + Plus = Discount Economy rate + pick a seat for free
Starter + Max = Economy rate + pick an extra legroom seat for free

Business = zilch, zero, nothing, nada
Business + Max = Business rate + Lounge Access

Most that remains now is to see the typical additional cost.

If it's too much, I'll be putting such travel (nee StarClass) in the same bucket as I do "AirAsia X Premium".

you think that even for their "business" fare you'd get some FF points and SC's considering you get it for Y travel. Seems a bit wrong...

Looks like the new Business fares are like AA's Y/K Up fares for AA members.

Good point.

I’ll wait and see what the fares look like for the different levels tomorrow, but StarClass has always been just out of reach for me anyway, so it’s no loss to me at this stage.

Looking at it again it seems to refer to INT flights. I wonder if the same earning will be available for DOM flights?

I think the INT reference is to the Business side of things.

True but jet plus lists this:

Personal video on demand unit
Comfort pack
Two meals with one hot and one cold non-alcoholic beverage per meal (one meal on direct flights to/from Melbourne and Sydney to Bali)
In addition you will also receive:
  • Qantas Frequent Flyers earn Qantas Frequent Flyer points and Status credits (except domestic Vietnam flights)
  • Free standard seat selection
i can't see the second or third options on a MEL-SYD flight...

Not on bookings converted from the old (existing) structure.

But bookings on the new structure, with the relevant bundle look like they will.

all will be revealed tomorrow.. was thinking of a F lounge run at the end of the week...

Jetstar website will be offline from 10pm to 6am AEST the 16th tonight until the 17th.

I have a feeling for the plus bundle, it will be around $40 extra on the starter fare for domestic and $80 for international.
Which would include the QFF points and SC's, free seat selection, and the waiving of the change fee (not incl fare diff.)

Unsure if you can just add on the FF point's option as a stand alone choice anymore.
