We would want to be careful though. If the deep discount buckets are sold out, the prices can be very scary.

And I wouldn't bother with getting an earn-eligible booking class - unless you really need that 5 SCs and 52 QFF points.

I don't care about booking eligible airfare for earning SCs.

I was thinking airfares may increase but still 4 months away. A few things to be sorted between now and then.

Sorry I've been flip-flopping all over the place on this event. The final decision (for now?) is that I can't attend, as money is tight and I need it for living expenses, as I will be moving out to a new place in less than a month. I also want to save my cash for cheaper domestic events.

I've booked myself onto MH627 on 7 Jun. Can't make myself pay to select seats, hopefully I won't be stuck in the middle for the hour.

As for how I'm getting to KUL, or how I'm departing SIN after the crawl, I haven't the slightest idea...

I'm sure they can use the practise. Quite often, they would direct me left to the J lounge without realising that I'm an Emerald. When I turned right instead, there weren't any arguments when I reminded them I'm Emerald so it's more about the awareness (or the lack of which) more than anything else.

I have booked my flights and will be with EK to and from KUL on the 5th and 8th.

I'm guessing you would be on MH610 in the evening of the 7th?

And if anyone wants to take the opportunity to try a new airline, it's possible to buy a SIN/KUL tickets on WY in June. (Oman Air)

Probably. Price is a bit high at the moment, so I am debating whether to jump in now, or wait and see.

MH have a poor timetable from ADL. 9am Friday or 1430 on Saturday.

Will try that. Just KUL is not an option in the multi city system but is for normal booking. Since I want to end up in SYD this is going to be fun.
