Life Time Gold - The [Realistic] Holy Grail

i thought LTG meant exactly that, lifetime (well QFF,s lifetime anyway). I haven't seen anywhere that you still need the 4 QF flights.:(
Your are correct, hvr was referring to attaining WP.

As I posted back a couple of weeks ago:
Once LTG is reached your status will be at least SG for either the life of the current QFF program or your life , no matter how little you may fly.

If you ever drop to SG, you would need the four ~ flights and 1,400 SC's to reach WP again.

Finally, I've cracked LTG :D

Joined Feb 96 so it's taken me 17+ long years........on the bright side - I'm only 46. Hopefully, LT means a very long LT:!:

hahaha no such luck. Out of the 14,000 I'd say around 10% are from DSC/JASA. I only found out about JASA when I joined AFF & I only received my first DSC offer last year:( Haven't been doing status runs around LOTFAP:( or Asia;)

Unfortunately, the great majority of my SC has come from QF dom whY & J* flights when I was commuting for nearly 4 years to SYD from my Sunny Coast paradise:D In fact J* @ 40SC a return trip is probably responsible for around 7,000SC:shock::(

I've blown all my points on classic awards.

Fitting that todays flight SYD-BNE got me over the mark. I am now on 14,005 lifetime SCs even though it will take a few weeks for the SCs to credit to account.

When I first joined AFF I calculated that it was going to a take long time to get to Lifetime Silver and almost impossible to get to Lifetime Gold. I am really surprised that time has arrived so soon. It has been a ball.

I wish there was Lifetime Platinum as that would have been a good goal to try and achieve.

No plans to move away from QFF. Although I will try and credit some flights to VA to maintain VA Gold for another year.

Well done JohnK you have certainly done the hard yards to get there.. I hope to join you at the end of the year there!!

Well done :)

I am about to hit LTS with QF so quite a way to go for LTG, but I'll easily maintain platinum for 2014 again, so that's good enough for now.

My VA Platinum moves to Gold in a month or so, and I'll reconsider if I should try to maintain anything with Virgin in about 6 months, when we have a clearer picture of where/what QF is doing medium term.

Congratulations John! Hope to see you around more, preferably on VA flights...

Thats great news JohnK. Well done :)

I'm also hanging out for life time platinum, but maybe by the time i reach 28k SC mark (3-4 years) it may be on the table for me to get  (if ofcourse 28k SC total was lifetime platinum)

Congrats JohnK!
I got it myself last year and also hoping for LTP although I'm very skeptical it will ever happen.

At the Q Cash lunch in Melbourne QF (Stephanie Tully) did say they talk about lifetime WP & maybe one day it'll happen, I took from that, that maybe it could happen & abit of a positive that it gets spoken about.

Congrats Johnk!

Hopefully the specter of delayed aircraft will leave you alone for good now! :)

I'll be very glad to be proven wrong on this one :)

Congratulations! Now just hope nothing changes and your lifetime OW Lounge Access remains. :)

About 87% of the way there myself. :)

Cheers,
- Febs.
