Life Time Silver

NO letter for me when I hit LTS sometime last year, zilch, nana. But, MrLtL received a letter and new card, perhaps because he had 'fallen' in the past year from SG after many years to PS anyway (plus he had QP membership which kicked in again). He received a shiny new LTS card. Funny because he is about to hit gold again, long gone are the WP days :(

I got a letter from QF about reaching LTS and congratulating me.

it was a nice touch apart from the bit about how it said I would enjoy the benefits of silver no matter how much I fly*

* Program benefits may change.

for me the asterisk and text with it was a goodwill marketing fail no doubt brought on by some in house paranoid lawyer. Now I know all about risk minimisation but seriously?

Congrats to all who just passed the 7000 SC mark with QF. Sitting at just under 3000 I doubt the condition will (ever) apply to me. So I'll resolve to be content with what AA has in mind for their "life-time" members.

Happy wandering

Fred

I went and checked the filing cabinet and a letter for Mr FM but not for me. So it could be my somewhat eccentric filing habits, or I didn't get one, which wouldn't surprise me as they often send him stuff and not me. e.g after we returned from our trip he received an email suggesting he target P1, but I didn't....(we have exact same SC for the current year). We will see what happens when I hit LTG in September. :)

Have you checked your profile to see which boxes are, or are not, ticked versus the flying merman?

Good idea! However I have just checked and it looks identical - which is not surprising, as I control both accounts - he doesn't even know how to log in.....

Other than a luggage allowance and slightly better points earning. Is there any "Real & Tangible " advantage to LTS Vs ( in my case) Life Time QP?

IMHO No. Slightly higher up the ladder for upgrades and maybe better seat selection but then no access to the lounge.

Lifetime OWR Oneworld Ruby.. Priority check-in for life :lol:

I have another 5-6 years of my current level of travelling to reach LTG. *sigh*

for me; hopefully only 18-24 months:)

Nice! I only started seriously flying on QF (and partners) in 2010. It would be lovely to achieve LTG. I don't really see much benefit to LTS.
