Life Time Silver

Travel patterns can change very fast. For me a few additional trips to Australia and Asia did the trick quite fast.

Bear in mind another 7000 points at say WP re qual every year will take me about 6 years. So "if" I managed that I'm looking at 65.
I'm not likely to do more than 300-400 SC's pa going forward. So even age 70 is ambitious.

I think one first needs to buy a ticket (lol)
BTW how did I end up with : 6,342 LT SC's?where did the " 2" come from?
I think it dates from the old system - didn't we have tier credits or something and they were converted over and resulted in numbers like that - mine is 13,889. It was from the era where we used to get upgrade certificates - I threw most of mine away as I wasn't sure what to do with them!

same. mine ends in 191 now. some of the 50% bonus SC offers i've achieved have been on 15sc flights - so you get an extra 7 SC per flight

That makes sense. I hadn't considered that.

I'm another one who recently made LTS, entirely thanks to this forum - in about 4 years. With the demise of JASAs, SG is the annual goal so 10+ more years to make LTG....

I'm 38 and am about to sail past 10,000 Lifetime status credits... I think I will make it to LTG inside 3 years, which is both cool... and depressing as a predominantly Y traveller. (Except long haul international)

It does date back to the old system. I've had an odd number for years.

Well, I've just made LTS, this week. I'll also retain WP for the first 4 years in a row by the end of next week; with 6 months to spare.

It's taken me about 13 years to get to Lifetime PS, but the bulk of the SCs have come in the last 4-5 years, after discovering AFF and the many tricks it exposed!

Expect the next 7K SCs will go by much faster, with that knowledge, and a partner who has recently started to get used to traveling up the front!

Thanks to all for all the tips and advice!

Cheers,
Matt.

After returning from NZ over the long weekend finally ticked over 7000 SC mark and thus lifetime silver!
It now seems like a lifetime before I reach 14000 :o

Do you receive some email after attaining lifetime silver whilst Platinum?

I recall receiving a letter about achieving that milestone but it did say that as I was a WP at the time the LTS will not kick in until I dropped down to that level, or enjoy the benefits of LTS until it was required (something along those lines).

I also noticed the status banner when you login to QFF your account page says lifetime silver instead of my current platinum, is this how it is meant to display or a bug?

It should say lifetime silver as the header but Platinum in the retain section. 01497309715.png

it too me around 14 years to get to LTS and 3 to get to LTG, so it might accelerate for you too :)
