Load and spend to earn x,xx_ Qantas Points [Qantas Cash]

The reason for this is that Qantas Cash cannot verify your residential address except by the phone book or electoral roll. My wife was in the same boat in that we are silent electors and not on the roll and the landline is in my name.

All you need to do in that circumstance is download a form from the website and take it and your ID (Driver's Licence is fine) to the Post office who will sight your ID and scan the barcode on the form. Within 24 hours you will receive an email advising you have been activated.
Sure about that? I'm a NZ citizen so not on the electoral roll and phone is in my wife's name but DL and Medicare card enough to apply.

The FAQ suggests you can print a form and go to Australia post. Heck, Aus post may even have a form there? If one is close by you could check.

I'm sure about that. My wife was verified yesterday at the post office after going through the procedure I've described. She received the activation email this morning.

Because Qantas Cash can only verify your address on line via the electoral roll or phone book, they require you to go to the post office so someone can sight your identification and verify your address.

Wrong advice. The form is generated while you are logged in and has your details pre filled in. At the top there is a unique barcode that is linked to your account. Once Australia post sights your id, they scan the barcode and the information is sent to Qantas Cash. I know this because I rang Qantas Cash over my wife's application and asked why they couldn't accept 100 pts online E.g. A drivers licence and passport. I've relayed what I was told in my earlier posts.

Back to the form, it is not a generic form you download of some download page, it is generated for the particular cardholder if they click on a link which tells you to download the form if you are having trouble with online verification.

Question: I received the initial offer mentioned by the OP for 2500 pts for $250 spent. I registered, loaded and spent that within 21 days as stipulated in the T&Cs of that offer. I subsequently received the offer concerning the trip to NYC, which included 2500 pts for $250 spent as well. So would this be a separate offer that I can also do, and hence earn 5000 pts for $500 spent?

They appear to be two completely separate offers, with different timelines/promotion dates, so I would assume yes.

That's the assumption that I'm operating under. Bring on my 5k points :)

I also don't have an Australian Passport (and am not on the electoral roll) but I managed to get my card activated with my DL and Medicare card.

I deposited money onto the cash card on 4 April and the money was only loaded onto my card this morning .
I'm glad I'm not in a rush to spend!

I only had to provide my DL details and that was it. Activated. Loaded it up last night and soon as posted will look at using for a MASA. Nice deal, 2500QFF points,++, but didn't get a DSC offer.

I loaded on the 4th and mine came through yesterday morning. However, yours does meet the 3 business days specified.

I understand what you are saying but they didnt require me to!

I think 3 business days is too long especially when travelling.
Surely it doesn't take that long to transfer funds when depositing via BPay.

If you loaded after 4/5pm EDST Friday, the loading day is considered to be Monday, so for it to come through today would be acceptable as it's only 2 working days. But if you loaded before 4/5pm (whatever the cut off time is) then yes, I agree 3 business is a little long especially in 2014.

I load my card on Wednesday morning and the funds are available on my card Friday morning around 10am.

I agree it's far too long, but it comes within the time frame they state.

FWIW Velocity beat Qantas Cash by a day on all their load times.

Also received this offer and have loaded my QF cash card with $250 using BPAY. Has been just over 24 hours, no sign of funds yet...

My wife sent offer to activate
She is a PR and not on electoral role and no Aussie Passport

Tried to activate with license and Medicare card - cannot use both - she has given up!

I'm not an Australian citizen, and I went to AusPost as well. Had it activated the next day.

Apparently it's the security checks they have to go through. At least that's what I've been told when on the phone with QC.

I use the QC card all the time and load it rather frequently. Now, I registered for the NY offer on 06 April and requested a Fund Loading on 07 April. I just got the amount loaded yesterday (09 April, after two days, through BPAY) and have spent more than 250 AUD in the meantime.

Now, I'm not sure when the points actually get added – as soon as I spend 250 or at the end of the promotion (27 April)? I'm not sure if there's a way to determine that. Maybe check the dates of purchases on the QC website?

Unfortunately, I never got any of the other offers and I've been using the card since they were introduced. :-|

I currently have the 1000 point for activation and load $250 plus the 2500 point for load and spend $250.

Can I receive the total combined 3500 points for a one load of $250 and spend of the $250 for the 2500points
