Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

(Special thanks to Princess Fiona for suggesting this new thread.)

Ok. Thank you. I heard about a new virgin lounge at Brisbane and thought it was at the International.
Hopefully the domestic lounge will let us in if we only hold an international ticket.

Well they should, but the domestic lounge is at a different terminal, with a train or bus ride between them.
So it may not be convenient for you.

I don't mind going to the domestic 1st for an hour or 2 then making our way across to the international.
Thanks for your help.

Aren't single lounge passes restricted to 2 hours before the flight? Does this also apply to credit card lounge passes too?

Oh really?
I'll see if i can find it in the t@c's

Looking in the "t@c's" will see you making a trip to the grammar thread.
I was going to ignore the @ instead of & but the apostrophe crime was a bridge too far!

Good luck with the lounge access.

Hi Guys,

need some advice on lounge access for a trip next week. We're flying Singapore from Sydney to coughet via Singapore and wanted to organise lounge access in both Sydney and Singapore. Im a QF Club member but know that means nothing with Singapore. What is the best way to access the Singapore lounges in Sydney and Singapore?

Can i still purchase MapleLeaf or United Club Memberships and use the them to access the Singapore Lounges in Sydney and Singapore?

Thanks in advance

JT

If you are flying on a paid SQ fare you should be eligible for Changi transit vouchers? This gives you 2 x SGD20 vouchers at least one of which you can use for two hour's worth of lounge access (not the SQ lounge but a third party).

Single day passes for United or Air Canada can most likely only be used for lounges owned and operated by each airline. For the star alliance wide access i think you would need a one year membership, which is probably an expensive way of getting access.

Thanks,

we're flying with a 10 month old and have about 6 hours transit on both legs, other option was the transit hotel but thats bout $300 each way so works out about the same as a 12 month MapleLeaf membership.

Are you sure on the prices for the transit hotel? Should be able to get rates for a double room, with your own bath, for around AUD100 for 6 hours. That's at the transit hotels inside the terminal.

I think I know the answer but, being pretty much of a novice when it comes to posting, I thought I should give it a try. I'm flying on a Qantas booked ticket BNE-SGN in J with transit in Singapore on QF51 then VN658. As far as I can see, I won't have access to the Qantas lounge in Singapore as my onward flight is not a QF flight. My question is do I HAVE To use the Vietnam Airlines share lounge or is there any way I could try to get into the Qantas lounge? Flying back is no problem as it's CX then QF so will able to try the Hong Kong lounges. By the way, I'm currently only QFF Bronze - or is the term
?

you are correct, you will need to be flying qantas or a one world carrier (in business) to access the QF lounge. You can however use the VN lounge, or any other sky team lounge at SIN (although I'm not sure there are any sky team ones?)

There is the SATS Premier Lounge in Terminal 1 or the Skyview Lounge in Terminal 3.
Vietnam Airlines uses T3.

Thanks for that Esseeeayeenn. Have you used them and, if so, are they okay(if I don't put my expectations too high)?

No sorry I haven't used them.
The Skyteam website lists their facilities here.
There is a review of the Skyview lounge here.
However it seems the Skyteam page may have the locations mixed up.
There is info on the SATS Premier lounge here, which says it is in T3 and lists Vietnam Airways.
