Malaysia Airlines Delays/Cancellations

The KUL - ADL MH139 (A333 9M-MTC) is arriving on Tuesday 8 August at 0741, 41 minutes late.

UPDATE: MH139 tried to land in ADL but appears to have had a missed approach, presumably due to fog. As at 0820 hours, it looked to be diverting to MEL. Arrival in MEL should be at 0855 hours.

FURTHER UPDATE: MH139 took off from MEL at 1013 after refuelling and arrived ADL at 1052 hours. As MH136, the 0815 hours morning ADL - KUL, it departed about four hours late, landing in KUL at 1811 early this evening local time against a timetabled arrival at gate of 1430 mid afternoon. After some snappy footwork it departed KUL about an hour later for DEL as MH190, a very fast turnaround for an A333.

The KUL - MEL arrival on Saturday 12 August (A333 9M-MTI) is badly late with it expected to be at the terminal at 1225 early this afternoon instead of 0750 hours, 275 minutes behind schedule. Since the returning MH148 has a very long turnaround - quite wise - in MEKL and is not due out until 1355, it may well be on time pushing back.

Wednesday 16 August sees MH123 (A333 9M-MTI) suggested as arriving on its KUL - SYD redeye at 1056 hours, 56 minutes tardy.

Monday 21 August sees the arriving MH149 from KUL to MEL in a holding pattern just south of Bendigo at 0755. Arrival is suggested as 0824, 34 late.

MH782 KUL-BKK cancelled 07 Sept
MH774 KUL-BKK due to depart 1610 actually departed 1700.

Yes I was meant to be in the first one, moved to 774 and then delayed.

Still, am now in BKK all safe. The plane was quite new, Had to do a very minor DYKWIA because the CSM said there were no BKK Immigration express passes. I then discreetly advised him that I saw them in the pockets of several other J pax.

He called ground staff upon arrival and I was met at the door with said pass. The regular line was nearly at the walk way, if you've been to BKK you'll know that's a lot of people in line.

Wednesday 13 September sees MH148, the 1355 hours MEL up to KUL (A333 9M-MTD) not becoming airborne until 1538. Arrival is forecast as 2154 tonight local time, 84 minutes tardy.

On Monday 18 September there are windy conditions in MEL in the morning with quite a few aircraft holding to Bendigo's east. MH149, however has entered its own hold to Kerang's southwest. A333 9M-MTG should arrive at 0850, an hour late.

Probably due to the fuel shortage affecting AKL after a jet fuel line was ruptured, MH130 from AKL to KUL looks to be diverting to MEL (A333 9M-MTE.) This scheduled 1315 hours ex AKL took off pounctually at 1328 and should arrive MEL at about 1520.

According to a NZ Herald report this fuel shortage may last for up to two weeks:

Auckland Airport fuel crisis disrupts flights after jet fuel pipe line burst near Ruakaka

It was not all that long ago that MEL had jet fuel supply problems of its own but there has been no adverse word on that for at least a few months.

Saturday 23 September sees MH149, the overnight from KUL down to MEL arriving at an expected 1024 hours, 154 minutres late as on Friday night despite a timetabled departure of 2210 it did not take off until 0111 this morning. 9M-MTH is the usual A333.

A333 9M-MTB on MH149 from AKL to KUL is again diverting to MEL due to the ongoing, though much improved, fuel supply problem in AKL. It took off at 1500 hours sharp and looks to be arriving at about 1550 this afternoon for (as AFF member Quickstatus may delightfully suggest) a 'splash and dash' prior to resuming its journey to the Malaysian centre of commerce.

Saturday 30 September's MH136 (the 0815 hours ADL - KUL that pointed skywards at 0905 hours, A333 9M-MTG) should arrive at about 1505 hours, 35 late.

MH149, the overnight KUL to MEL (the usual A333, in this case 9M-MTF) looks to be arriving at 1022 hours, 92 minutes late on Monday 2 October 2017. As MH148 back to KUL is not timetabled to depart until 1455 hours this afternoon, it should push back on time, again showing the value of longer than minimum turnarounds for international airlines.

On Wednesday 4 October, MH126, the super early morning 0220 hours PER - KUL was airborne at 0310 hours. A333 9M-MTG should arrive 47 late at 0847.

Friday 6 October has MH149 (2210 hours Thursday night KUL - MEL that was pointing skywards at 2325) arriving at about 0940 hours, 50 minutes late with A333 9M-MTE.

Saturday 7 October has MH122 (A333 9M-MTN, the 1300 hours early afternoon SYD - KUL that was in the sky at 1341, about 20 minutes late) suggested as arriving at 1931 hours, 41 late.

MH149 (A333 9M-MTH, the overnight KUL - MEL that took off at 2300 hours on Tuesday 10 October despite a push back time of 2200) is predicted to arrive 39 minutes late at 0929 hours on Wednesday 11.
