Just tried that - could not find my booking.
Malaysia Airlines website is also unable to currently manage my booking to try and add any FF details in there.
I guess as suggested I'll be left with a useless number of Enrich points...ahh well.

The MH website is rubbish.

Tried booking a reward flight online and couldn't do it since their CC gateway was down. Called their local office and they had no ETA on return of services but they said it had been down for weeks and there was no sign of it going back online. Had to fax in my request for flights with my CC details for the associated charges.

They should dismiss the 10 yr boy/girl that they have managing/designing their website and employ some professionals to do some work!

The IT department at MH is their weakest link. Really hopeless!

and presumably also Bank of Melbourne and BankSA (effectively St.George Victoria/SA)

did 3x J redemptions with MH in Oct and Nov, now justbwaiting to link them together, so am hoping the website comes good on 1st Feb

I spoke to MH call centre yesterday regarding changing the dates of a Feb booking, and the CSO was able to add my QFF number to the booking. I don't think its possible on their website yet.

Cheers skip

I would think it is easier to accumulate AA miles-flying OW with more of them qualifying for elite bonus than QF and I would think the same with MH.
It would depend on the circumstances but I still believe, think, it is easier to achieve elite status on Qantas than AA.

Hotel loyalty programs-eg you can transfer SPG points to AA but not MH.And you can transfer DC and Amex points to AA though better to go via SPG.Are there any CCs at present in australia that can transfer points to MH?
Amex can transfer to MH.

They've added a notice to the 'MH joining Feb 1' graphic on the oneworld homepage.

Sorry, I was thinking in terms of accumulating points through CC spend only - if you accumulate lots of points through flying or Starwood hotel stays then the equation is different. One-track mind, given CC spend is how I accumulate almost all my points.

MH earn is easier/better than AA earn through CC spend as you can earn at $1 = 1+ points via Amex and $1 = 1.5 points via Westpac Altitude (as I posted earlier). AA via SPG/Diners is the exception, but we all know how hard it is to use Diners!

True - but much easier for us Aussies to earn MH points than AA points (buying options aside, perhaps)!

Indeed, we all have different "earns" , just as the FF programs have different "burns".

AA and other USA programs are very attractive on the "burn" side, but the "earn" side is unfortunately such for many of us that other programs have higher earn/burn ratios.

The optimum program is different for each us.

And indeed for many of us, it is optimum programs, as with a number of FF program one can further maximise ones ear/burn ratios.

MH is one I have my eye on for some future J redemptions on the A380, or at least on it for long leg to Europe from Malaysia.

1 day til MH joins OW, no QFF earning table updates yet.

AJ is there! on the centre table with MH CEO

wonder if he flew 3K to KUL :)
