And if several Ukranian military flights had been attacked in the week prior; they might not have inclined to show correct info in their transponders, escalating the risk for all flights in the area.
They seem to have settled back to the 27 number with suggestions that the 23 number was out of date information.Last news report the PM said he only knows about 23 Australians onboard but there could be more. Let's hope not.

It looks like Flightradar24 has disabled it's playback function. Their servers must have taken some traffic today.
