I have spoken with Bohemian, and made a tentative booking for 15 of us. With that number of people they need us to take a set menu choice pack which are either $45, $55 or $65. As we are a few days out from Christmas, it is understandable. They are emailing me the menu, and I will post it when I have it for comment. They are able to do dietary vagaries if they have enough notice.

After I post the menu, please let me know if you would still like to come, as I will need to pay a deposit. I will recoup this on the night, so I don't need prepayment from anyone.

My vote doesn't count... but assuming an 8:30pm dinner it would be better to have a mains & dessert combination, rather than entrées if people have been hitting the HSW canapés.

I have tentatively suggested 7.30 for 8pm at the restaurant. If we had the full time permitted in the lounge, then I may not be able to find dinner, let alone eat it.

Based on past experience of this group - I suggest booking for ~30 mins after HSW canapés and drinks officially ends.

Lawless and tuapekastar will both vouch for the fact that lounge lizards never leave before the end

My vote doesn't count either but I don't generally do dessert (much to SWMBO's delight) and an entree/main works better for me.

I am happy with the $55 menu.

How are we looking for HH Diamonds? I haven't activated my VA WP complimentary HH Diamond yet, any experts care to weigh in as to whether if I do this in the next few days it will take effect before 21/12?

It should - it can take a week or two I think.

If you pull the trigger today it would be valid until Feb 2015.

That would be a nice gesture, but unless you will have zero 2015 Hilton plans, if you pull the trigger next year it would be valid until end March 2016.

(i.e. Invoke it on Jan 1 and have Diamond for the next 26+ months).

Since I ticked that I am not going to the FFA event 2 minutes ago after I have been sitting on the fence for the last few months, I thought I had best reply to this thread.

Yes I will miss seeing a lot of friends in Sydney but there are a few very good friends that will be attending this event.

Gluten free is easy, as it was mentioned on the phone. I am not sure about the others, but will email them and ask.
