Seems a bit silly to make a hoax about such a thing, they must not have much of a sense of self preservation.

A group of idiots looking for their 15 minutes...
A lot of these sorts of people come out of the woodwork during big news stories...

No, but it brings media attention to their cause, at least temporarily, which seems to be what most hoax perpetrators want.

Perhaps, though I don't think the attention they're going to receive will be type they're after.

Some people still subscribe to the whole "there's no such thing as bad publicity" mantra.

Out of all the theories that have been put forth so far, the one that makes the most sense is the coughpit fire and how quickly it can spread and how potentially catastrophic it can be at 35000ft.

It was somewhat defamatory in respect the first officer, perhaps their lawyer called?

It was also factually incorrect regarding drug mules between Malaysia and China flights.

Everyone knows that all drugs into China go via land from Vietnam, Myanmar and Laos - why on earth would anyone risk an international flight when you have thousands of kilometers of unpatrolled land borders.

It was a very interesting post to read, any idea why it was deleted?

Nothing to do with copyright I suppose? One should not reproduce an article in full or in part without prior permission.

perhaps I should rephrase that to there is no 'absolute' requirement for an Australian citizen to enter australia with a valid australian passport.

Given other means exist suggests there is no strict requirement. Putting aside a couple of cases of locking up and deporting Australian citizens, there is no basis for Australia to prevent a citizen from entering the country.

Though the original article has gone as well. The legal process would be the best fit as said by markis10.

Not that I'd ever choose ACA as an accurate source of info, but they had an interesting story on tonight: Woman raises questions about coughpit behaviour

In short, claims to have been allowed inside the coughpit while flying, and has the photos to back it up, with the finger pointed at the FO.

WOW! Guess that's why they call it the coughpit...

I imagine the other pilot in that "massive display of poor judgement" will be looking for another job....and, wife, if he's married.

Oh this if true is way out of order

I feel the report is quite alarmist without any actual proof to suggest that the photo and incident are related apart from the FO being involved.
It does raise some questions, but without any evidence as to why the aircraft did crash, it may be merely coincidence as to the FO being involved in both incidents.

I'd agree. Just mentioning it as it could be relevant.

Interesting story, not remotely surprised about smoking. Wouldn't be surprised about the photos if they had been taken pre 9/11 instead of in 2011. I can't see it turning out to be a factor here and I trust the young backpacker will now be flying home in considerably more comfort than she arrived in ;)

I am sure the co-pilot was not the one with authority to let the women into the coughpit. If the Captain did not approve it wouldn't have happened.Different captain on MH370.
And as to being an international flight it was HKT-KUL,just shorter than BNE-SYD.
