Hi all - just a reminder that this event is just over a week away.

<snip>

Finally - don't forget the Kris Kringle - every event we seem to end up a few gifts short, so please, take a few minutes out of your day and get a gift! (amenity kits are not KK gifts)

munitalP

Can you please remind us of the suggested cost for the Kris Kringle?

Thanks

PS Have now made the final payment, I'm excited. :D

+1 On the KK pressie.
Looking forward to catching up with everyone and meeting a few new faces.
Thanks MunitalP :)

Really looking forward to the event. I will be staying at the Intercon rather than the Hilton - bit of a walk away but closer then MEL!

I'm staying there as well.

BTW I have a king room booked at the hilton for $239. A final offer in case anyone wants it, will cancel the booking sometime next week.

Only 400m less than my walk home, which is where I've decided to sleep :)

(I've moved since my post on the first page)

Paid dinner, now I need to figure out which hotel booking to use; I just realized my booking cost is $259.00, which I might cancel. I might want a stay credit.

Currently on JQ510 but I need to somehow get a desk top computer from MEL-SYD, don't ask its a long story, PER-MEL ok its Qantas, SYD-BNE on VA in business, but I have a JQ booking without baggage.

So as not to take this thread OT, I've asked a question regarding accommodation preferences here!

We are coming too. Sydney is always good for a weekend.
munitalP has introduced me to Peking Duck in Melbourne and I loved it.

It will be nice to see you again cove.

OT: That was a good night. I have dined at branches of Quanjude in both Melbourne and Beijing. Apparently they have a HK branch also, as well as many branches on the mainland.

Anyone arriving on Friday? I'm thinking of heading down on Friday rather than Saturday, which means I don't have to stumble out of bed early in the cold morning in order to get to the airport.

What it does mean I wouldn't mind if someone has somewhere I could crash for the night on Friday. I'm happy to sleep on a couch or a chair (or a double quilt on the floor). I know that's a crass request.... :-|

I'll double check with my partner and friend who is more often here than not but we would probably have a couch at the least and a bed at the most.. we do have a super fluffy cat in case of allergies.
I don't see it being a problem as I often get accused of running the place like a hostel anyway.

If shellthom doesn't work out, you can crash at my place in Potts Point.

The only person I need to seek approval from is my cat, and I'm sure she wouldn't mind (allergy warning also applies) :)

Worse case it'll be an air mattress in my home office room. Best case it'll be a pull out sofa in the same room if it ever gets delivered (reminds me - I must go yell at the furniture company - it's been 6 weeks).

Breakfast will be provided courtesy of my usual Saturday breakfast place - Uliveto (Uliveto Cafe) which is next door :)

Thanks for the offers shellthom and Ewing.

And I have no known allergies to cats.
