I wish they didn’t make the servings so large. There is no way I could eat that.

This evening was Hamilton. I hadn't been sure about the rap music but we enjoyed the whole show - great evening. We were in row C and I think you wouldn't want to be any further forward than that because the stage is quite high.View attachment 162155View attachment 162156View attachment 162157

Yes - fortunately we had two young people to help with the pastries. I had the soup and cheese sandwich, but had to leave half the sandwich.

Thanks for the awesome trip report. Heading to Europe in the Qsuite later this year so reading the airplane descriptions with great interest. And haven't been to NYC for way too long so also enjoying those pictures!

That is SO good to hear, I was initially a bit hesitant to fly Qatar as I had some rather meh experiences in the past (few years ago, admittedly). But now that we're officially upped to get the Q suites, I am very excited.

Reason I asked, is having diner at The French Laundry (Napa), being one of the best dining experience I've had, we grabbed a bite to eat the next morning at Bouchon Bakery which was his. The name rang a bell, hence the question.

Now for Eleven Madison Park. It’s a big restaurant with very high ceilings. A few low partitions break it up. There is carpet on the floor and tables are well spaced, so noise never became an issue even when it was full.

Service was friendly and very prompt. Water glasses constantly replenished and quickly asked if you wanted another drink.

The waiters almost felt choreographed - they were in a performance that delivered beautiful food.

The man who took our order was amazing - there were a number of courses that had multiple choices. He took the orders, never wrote down anything and it was correctly delivered to the right person.

The first course was a Morel custard with Trout Roe. Beautiful delicate mushroom flavour

Next was a steelhead trout with bread and butter. This was one of my favourites. Bread was delicious and the trout

Then came a cheesecake with a bagel crumb with smoked sturgeon and white asparagus. They liked to have a bit of a New York theme

Then there were a number of choices. Mr FM had asparagus and I had the crab with sorrel and amaranth - it was quite divine with the crab. Can’t remember what the other two had - a variation

Then it was time for the ceremonial cutting of the lettuce the snails were roasted in. It was done with spring garlic as well

Next was a choice between lobster with green tomato and coriander and striped bass with chickpea and nasturtium

Then the snails arrived. We all agreed we had never had such beautiful lettuce - it was better than the snails

Another course with multiple choices, but we all went with the duck. It was honey and lavender glazed with spring onion and Daikon radish. It was served with snow peas, goats cheese and mint. The second accompaniment was spring greens with Horseradish and mustard
