Shopping is never crossed off my list! I even enjoy poking around supermarkets in different counties. And I buy their shopping bags.
i used to like supermarkets - it’s fun to see the different products. The older I get the more boring shopping becomes - I never really enjoyed it even when young. The family claim I have a 2 hour limit. When I hit it, I will buy the next thing I see :)

Yesterday was a big day with double Harry Potter on the schedule. We elected to have brekkie at the hotel (Avo on toast again) and then a bit of quiet time.

The Harry Potter theatre looked quite spectacular and I will post some photos when Mr FM let’s me have them. No spoilers of course, but if you like Harry Potter then this is a must see. Mr FM didn’t want to see it but was a total convert by the end of the first half in part 1.

With part 1 finishing a bit before 5 and part 2 starting at 7:30, there was only time for a quick meal. I had booked at 21 Club for 5:30 as they had a pre theatre menu. It was interesting to see the club and service was immaculate. Food was nicely presented and cooked without setting the world on fire. We were easily back at the theatre just after 7 without any dramas.

We both had soup, I had a gorgeous piece of salmon on wild rice. Mr FM went for pork and we both had cheese cake. Cheese cake was way too sweet for me :)

The reservation said a jacket was required, but Mr FM’s leather jacket didn’t cut it. They were terribly nice and lent him a “blazer” - said it happened all the time :)

Finally remembered to take some photos of the room :). It is the cheapest Park Hyatt room, but very comfortable and spacious. Heaps of cupboard space, which has been great given our extended stay.

The staff are friendly and helpful and our room attendant very grateful for the $5 a day tip we are leaving. I keep getting notes and extra apples and water :)

What did you think about doing both parts of Harry Potter on the same day? I’m a bit worried about the length of time and even wonder about whether to only do one part.

We both felt it would have been better to have split it over two days. I was a basket case with all my stiffness etc by the end, but even Mr FM was feeling pretty worn down. You wouldn’t lose anything by having a break between the two. Even a couple of weeks.

I have booked to see it again in Melbourne in January with Ms FM and had booked the same thing - both on the same day, but I do think it’s a mistake if you are at the older, less fit end! We ended up talking to the lady next to us and she was feeling pretty stiff as well - she had brought an extra cushion. We did stand in the aisle for the intermission, so that helped.

Master FM has been in charge of brunch and he likes to find little independent coffee shops - not always successfully. Sometimes we can walk 6,000 steps before a bite to eat, if the first one is a reject. That was the case yesterday, but then we ended up at Little Collins which was delightful - they even had toast and vegemite :)
