I've just organised my first shipment using an account created with this promotion and cost of $56 us for 8lbs with DHL is brilliant. I emailed myus to cancel the first account I had and said I now had another myus account I would be using. So they emailed back and wanted to know what was wrong with my first account and the number of my second account. I emailed back and said nothing wrong but wanted to use this promo. Didn't tell them the number in case they cancelled it
So they emailed back again and had obviously scoured their records and found it. Fortunately they didn't do anything about having 2 accounts and then said I could have told them about the promo and they would have applied it to my existing account. Not sure about that but all good in the end.

I have had two packages now - very happy with both. Amazingly it took FedEx four days to get my parcel from Montana to Florida and DHL four days to get my package from Florida to Oz....

(edited, doh I'm thick sometimes). If I do a delivery Wednesday AUS time, they are ready for me to collect Monday. I collect from the DHL depot near our airport, as its only about 20 minutes away. This avoids the use of the third party courier in Adelaide - one time it took longer to get from Adelaide depot to me, than it did from Sarasota to Adelaide. Another time, they delivered to my next door neighbour, but I was home. Not too bright those courier drivers, although Australia Post are better than the courier DHL used to use here in Adelaide (Couriers Please)

I have everything delivered to the office - that way someone is always in and if I am not at my desk the items are securely stored in the post room.

I got a package delivered within 48 hours - the package departed Tampa at 09:58AM Wednesday 16th Jan (AEDST) and delivered at 09:40AM Friday 18th Jan.

Thanks to the Polar Air Cargo flights DHL use from CVG to SYD via HNL.

although Australia Post are better than the courier DHL used to use here in Adelaide (Couriers Please)
Not always! My last MyUs.com delivery (DHL) arrived into the country and they used Aus Post as the subcontracted local delivery agent. Instead of Aus Post giving it to their local delivery contractor (who is very good), they just sent the parcel directly to the local post office and gave the postman (i.e. bikie delivery for letters) a "non delivery" card. This card, and Aus post computer system, said they tried to deliver at 11am and nobody was home and I had to collect myself from the post office. I was home at 11am, working from my office which overlooks the front of the house where I see all deliveries and meet them at the front door before they get a chance to knock. The package was never attempted to be delivered, which was confirmed by the usual parcel post contract driver. The "non delivery card" was delivered by the postman on his bike with the rest of the mail around midday (I saw this delivery as usual). The contract parcel delivery guy leaves blue cards and this was a red/green card that is only used by Aus Post themselves.

Aus Post denied they never attempted deliver because that is what their computer system says.

So I have paid DHL for a delivery to my home. DHL has paid Aus Post for the delivery to my home. And Aus Post seem to be trying to save money by not paying their parcel post contractor to make the delivery and instead send the parcel straight to the post office and have the bikie postman deliver a "non delivery" card with the rest of the mail for the day.

I was not impressed. This is the second time its happened. Each time I have complained to Aus Post and they claim to have spoken to the local sorting centre manager to ensure correct procedures are followed. Lets see if it happens again.

But this is a complain again Aus Post process. I have been very happy with MyUs.com and DHL's part of the process. Very efficient and easy to track the delivery process. I especially like the ability to combine deliveries. So I can purchase my multiple USA merchants, have them delivered to MyUs.com, and when they have all arrived I can ask for a combined shipment saving considerably on shipping costs.

That's a good plan. I'd have to tell our staff not to open it. Otherwise they would. I ordered the kindle the first day it was released internationally and had it delivered from Amazon direct to the office. It was addressed personally to me but the receptionist went ahead and opened it and turned it on . And then didn't bother to tell me it had arrived until the next day.

Our postie would leave a card saying attempted delivery too. Which was wrong. Like you I was home and saw him drop the card off. He did this many times so I reported it at the depot. Didn't happen again. The parcel contractors are pretty good though.
Collecting it at DHL depot means my parcel is in my hot little hands as soon as it clears customs. One time I went to the depot there was a police raid happening. DHL had reported (or police had been tracking) a parcel. Drove into the car park to see lots of police cars and guys in handcuffs!

The DHL car park is on the far side of the Adelaide airport and looks over the terminal and gates. Perfect place for plane watching. As close as you can get to see them depart and arrive. Plane touches down just in front.

I am in the fortunate position that I designed/influenced the security controls for the post room as part of a committee I was on.

Received my first shipment today - 3lbs @ $35. Took a bit longer than I thought it would, but I had it sent to our business PO, which in hindsight, was probably not the best idea and I think the public holiday played a little part as well. It left the US on the 4th March. Next time I will send it directly to the office street address.

Still, great value - saved heaps.

Expected turn-around would be within a week generally. I would pull up the tracking and see where it went and when. Sometimes it is customs clearance and AU delivery are the limiting factors.
That, or your package is very well travelled and went the long way around.

My best result was shipped on Friday and arrived in Perth on Monday.

The worst shipped on a Tuesday I think, arrived in Perth on Friday afternoon, but then DHL gave it to Australia Post for some reason and I didn't see it until Tuesday.

Typical Australian arm of DHL. Either third part courier or Aus Post. I collect mine from the depot. I did an order Sat morning and it arrived Tuesday to the depot and there was a ph here on the Monday. Super quick.

noob alert- can somone please give me a good idea of the cost of shipping for a pair of shoes ...or a pair of womens long boots??? how about lego??? or a coat from burberry?? all these inches and Lb's do my head in...how are you to know what size the package will be??

mumof2, I usually ask via say live help on line to the original seller what the size of the package will likely be. Also, most suppliers have a size chart to convert sizing.

I hate that when the dhl / post happens you can't send it to a PO box. Shipped to a friend in oz, the AP courier left the box (about $a100) sitting at the door in a very dense environment. The area is pretty rough... would have been much safer at their PO box.

They left one of my packages at someone else's house once. Lucky they were honest. I now collect them from the DHL depot at the airport. Adelaide is great like that.

I am in the middle of my 1st order (at O2gearshop.com) and have tried my Visa and M/C and the say my 'suite' does not match my billing address.

What are others doing w' this problem, I don't actually have AMEX.
