New 100 Year anniversary Q Tags

does ordering a new set render the existing set useless? trying to work out if all 4 would work (I tend to misplace them after returning home from travels)

The bag tags are not linked to anything like your FF number or your boarding pass until you drop your bag, so there is nothing to stop them from working. You can also give them out if you want and they will work for others.

No.
Each tag has a unique ID that is simply associated with a booking and person when you check-in.

They all work when they are scanned on bag drop.
I must order myself some before I lose WP status next month....

this was my understanding as well so i haven't shared them previously
It means the opposite. It only connects with someone when you enter your flight details and then the baggage carousel tags that to the tag. Share away!

This thread reminded me to order new Q-tags: 12 seconds to answer, 2 minutes to confirm address - your tags will be delivered in 10-14 business days.
Simples.
Sounded like the SQ Singapore office though - heavily accented call centre person and she spoke very quickly so had to ask to repeat a couple of times.

Never had any sent out since I got my original platinum ones 7 years ago, called yesterday as they are in pretty poor condition, was told I can get one tag per membership year.
Better than nothing but after that long you'd think a matching pair wouldn't be a big deal to send out.

They used to send 2 out but when i requested them earlier this year, only got1 :( Cost cutting, I assume...

I don't really care whether I get none, one or two, but I did put in a request for a new WP 'set' through the FF page contact link.

I guess if nothing shows up within about two weeks, the request has disappeared into the QF black hole.

Ok got my new QF centenary tag...yep only one 😳 Guess I should be grateful for getting at least one, which I'll store with my other coasters.

I did the same a few weeks ago. A single tag turned up in the mail today.

I called at 3:15pm and had no issue getting through. :)
Received a new tag in the mail today but since most flights have been cancelled, I would only be able to display it on the shelves 😆

Order my Gold tag expecting a 100 year anniversary edition but got a standard one instead.

Oh well, never mind. I'm more grateful for the status extension!

I requested a new set of anniversary tags as have never requested replacement tags over the years and thought they would be a nice little memento.

Received a single tag in the mail this this week.

Is the red ink on the Platinum tags correct?

Yes, that's the Platinum tag.
