HN Bondi junction said they are sold out
Wonder can I just buy normal HN gift cards and exchange them in return for visa later (plus fee)

Some suppliers allow you to bypass the fee using paypal. AGL say they will charge a fee but don't (for Mastercard at least)
ATO will charge their fee

I used 2 x $300 Vpay vouchers to pay local council rates yesterday - it does work however I got charge VISA credit card fees in the process... so make sure you work it out backwards (e.g. with $300 Vpay you can pay $297.03 rates which then becomes $300 once you add 1% cc fee...)

Has anybody actually received the $100 credit from HN for spending 300 on visacards?
It would be amusing if it was a trap, and they are actually monitoring purchases this time. I bought 4 on Wednesday and waiting to see if credits post before I buy 8 more.

Not a big loss if it doesn't, risk $5.50 to make $94.50 per go. I only have 2 cards so its really a no brainer if my local HN has vpay available when I pass tonight

Vision of Admiral Ackbar sitting in Amex HQ

(I do realise this is pedantically incorrect but is what popped into my head)

Yes, that's the first result from 'google email trick' when you enter that search term into Google.
Interesting because its not in fact the only google email trick.

Lets say your gmail address is [email protected] gmail does not recognise full stops in the first part, i.e. [email protected], [email protected] etc. will end up in your inbox. I used this for erewards for a while but appears they have wised up to this.

Yep that's the conclusion I came too, was happy to risk $20 to 'make' $400-ish
I can never get the 'it's a tarp' meme out of my head ever since I saw it :-/

Hi All
With this offer
VIRGIN AUSTRALIASpend $150 or more, get $30 back
Save the offer to your Card and spend $150 or more, in one or more transactions, on flights, online only at virginaustralia.com by 20/11/16 to receive one $30 credit. Limited to the first 20,000 Cards to save the offer. Exclusions apply.
Does anybody know if it works for vouchers bought @ Virgin website?
It redirects to this domain https://giftvouchers.com.au/Retailers/Virgin_Group_AU
Unfortunately it is a separate company that issues the gift vouchers.

OK at the risk of sounding lazy - that is not the actual reason - time saving rather as I have now seen like a gazillion suggestions for different cards - exactly which card is best to buy from HN if I have ability to wash through my own merchant facility?

Edit:
Best use is getting prepaid visa's and if you own a business, running through your eftpos machine to get the $300 back as cash :-)
Got it tks unfunkable
Considering using it for prepaid Visas. I can usually source most HN products cheaper. The iphone I was looking at yesterday was $100 less on Kogan
andye do not touch Kogan Apple products with a 40ft pole - they are grey imports and ZERO support from Apple with any probs.

VPay is a European company with the virtual card issued by Heritage Bank locally.

Initially I found limited use for the card. Websites such as Agoda, Hotelopia don't accept but HotelsClick does accept. But then I found that Qantas accepts the card so have been using for flights/hotels.

The only problem is when you get down to small balance you need to find somewhere that allows split payments. Sydney Water and Energy Australia should take care of that particular issue. The simplest solution is to buy a $300 Qantas gift voucher.

...and even worse - there was an article (somewhere) earlier this week about a sting operation that Apple conducted.

They purchased 'genuine' Apple products from virtually every merchant/seller listed on Amazon and over 90% were fakes - including some VERY large resellers. I realise this normally covers chargers, headphones, covers etc etc.

Just saying...

Can anyone confirm that voucher purchases from HN (i.e. those that require use of the ePay terminal) result in the Amex credit being applied?

I registered 10 cards and bought a new iphone 7 plus a few ods and ends and ended up with a price tag of 800
then a dyson absolute which had 647 price tag( told them goodguys had 607) got for 6o1 (400)plus a fan for 299(200)
still have some cards to use

That's being going on since Adam was a boy - I bought a fake Casio camera of Amazon 10yrs ago - the model I bought was the only compact Casio camera made in Japan - when mine arrived had Made in China emblazoned on it - sent it back and got full refund.
